I absolutely enjoyed staying at Victoria City Hotel! I was skeptical at first because I was not sure if I would be able to trust my items in the room since there’s no safe box but the receptionist promised to not worry about anything and I eventually learned to trust the staff; I was stressed free! Very professional and trusting staff members, cleanliness in the property was very consistent, comfortable and cozy hotel with a beautiful rooftop to relax and enjoy the sunrise or sunset. Also a restaurant connected to the hotel if ever feel like to dine in instead, the bartender and cashier David has been a great person to talk to. It was my first trip to Aruba and I have never felt safer, I would definitely come back here again.

When my friend and I arrived at the hotel, it looked completely different in person, aside from the flamingo painting in the room. The bed was far too small for two people, and to make matters worse, it ended up breaking. The customer service was hit-or-miss; sometimes helpful, other times not. When I asked the receptionist for assistance with carnival information, she could only answer some of my questions and often told me to look it up myself. There were no spa or pool facilities, which was shocking; how can a vacation hotel lack basic amenities? The only highlight was the housekeeping service; the staff member who cleaned our room did a great job. Breakfast ended way too early, which was disappointing. Overall, while the hotel may be affordable, it’s not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Really great service and the room is great for the price compared to other hotels I've stayed in Orangestad. Nice little terrace on the roof, coffee served in the morning. 12 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the bus station.

I liked the human presence for check-in, check-out, availability to answer questions, fresh coffee daily, on-site breakfast availability, 10 min walk to the Seaport & 10 min walk to a public beach. I dislike a lukewarm (vs. cold) water from the faucet & a tight squeeze bathroom entry.

My stay was two nights over a Sunday and a holiday. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had recently been renovated and I was very pleased. Air conditioning and wifi worked very well. Very convenient location and just one block from trolley.

The property was ok. Good thing was it was at least clean. Other than that not much good to say. Restaurant was not prepared. We were only guest there and it took 1hr to receive a drink and 2hrs for food. Beds in room were hard as a brick, not enough blankets. The noise outside was ridiculous at 2am and the bathroom had a ledge at the opening that you will brake your toes on if not careful!!!

Loved our stay!

We booked one night due to a travel issue with the airlines, before our previously set stay but wish now we had stayed at Victoria City for a few more days. Very close to some great restaurants in downtown Oranjestad, and super easy access (walkable) to the cruise port area. The staff was so nice and the room was absolutely beautiful. The area around the hotel is definitely older, but totally fine. Be aure to stop in the restaurant attached to the hotel, Mainstret, they make the most gorgeous cocktails!

Very small and very inexpensive.

It was a clean very small room. Staff was excellent but the area around the building going to the parking was very dark and dirty and not well kept. We were there for one night, so it suited its purpose and the price was hard to beat.

I found it through a search on Expedia and it was fine! I would stay here again if we came back to Aruba. We were in a small, if not reasonably sized room with everything that a couple would need to vacation in a warm climate. The room was very clean and up-to-date. There were small walled off / frosted glass-enclosed toilet & shower areas, and a comfortable bed. The mini-split dehumidified and cooled the room satisfactorily. It's only 10 minutes from AUA. Since we're walkers we found it was only a 20-minute walk to the main shopping district and one of the main bus terminals on the island. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The facilities were clean and well maintained. And our room was reasonably priced! Really couldn't ask for more!
