Keepin’ it Reel Accomadation

Situated right where the river meets the sea. Keepin’ it Reel Accommodation provides hassle free living an hour’s drive north of Hobart.
Secure fencing makes looking after kids easy while the adults can enjoy evening BBQs in the outdoor area.
Activities such as a superb 9 hole golf course, crystal waters and acres of sand a stone’s throw from the back door. Those keen to test their fishing skills have the luxury of river or sea fishing stretching out to Maria Island.

Accomodation can cater for 2 or as many as 11.

The main house accommodates for up to 7 people. The configuration is main bedroom upstairs containing queen bed, main bedroom downstairs 2 containing queen bed and a single and bedroom 3 containing queen bed. If you book up to 7 people this is what accommodates you.

The property has a self contained unit attached to the house called Fern accomodation which sleeps two people with a double bed. If you book up to 9 people your accomodation with be this fern accomodation and the main house.

The property has a waterfront self contained unit which accommodates two people with a double bed. If you book 11 people you will receive the entire property. Only one booking will be taken for the property at one time.

Great house, but needs some attention

We had three generations staying, and we all enjoyed our stay. The house and outbuildings catered for 10 of us well. The location was lovely, the views spectacular. It could however do with some love! As mentioned in other reviews there was no wifi, which meant we couldn’t play anything other than free toAir TV. There was a CD player/radio, but no Bluetooth speaker, so no ability to play Spotify etc. It had very limited cooking equipment, which limited what we could cook. In summary a lovely house, but needs a few small improvements.

Great location but some improvements would help

The house location and amenities were very good but we didn't receive information regarding check-in and check out procedures. Initially we had some difficulty locating the property as the name of the property was not signed. We sent a message through to the owner but didn't receive any reply. The contact mobile number was no longer in service. These details need to be updated. Limited mobile reception and not having Wifi available made communication and booking activities on line difficult. It would be grest if Wifi could be added to the property given the poor mobile reception. A collection of DVD'S or a smart TV to allow access to streaming services would also be great addition. The bathrooms would also benefit from body soap being available.

Weekend with old friends

Lovely house in a great position. Very close to the beach and a great cafe. Very comfortable set up though the exterior rooms particularly were very cold. Communication with manager was sporadic at best and arriving in the dark added challenges but we muddled through and had a very enjoyable weekend.

The property is in an excellent location and in reasonable condition. However that is where it ends. Communication with the host is nearly impossible! We raised issues through our stay which are still unanswered - no wifi info details were added during stay and therefore nil access during stay. After checking out we raised issues about being charged for a unit which we did not use and two weeks later no response - beware when booking,example -if you honestly advise your group has a 2yr old you may get an additional unit which is of no value but could cost $90 a night! We unfortunately left a birthday present for a child at the property and two weeks later advice is that the host is still waiting to hear from the cleaners? This respone only came after repeated messages to the host and phone calls to the booking agents. All bathrooms on property are ok but provide minimal soap etc to commence your stay First negative review I have ever submitted however I find this treatment of travellers who book in good faith very disrespectfull. Great location, spacious, clean and tidy. Bedroom and bathroom idea is wonderful. Some extra towels would be a good idea. (one per person for 5 days, not enough) Communication with property manager could be improved. Will stay again :)

Very enjoyable stay.

The property was exactly as expected. Very clean, quiet and very spacious. We were a party of five grand parents mum and kids. And we had plenty of room and access to the beach as from the rear of the property. We would definitely stay here again.
