We stayed for 4 nights at the Best Western Plus Gatineau. The room itself was ok. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Clean, lovely view. However, the amenities were less than satisfactory. Coffee is a must for us in the mornings, and I'm not sure I overlooked it, but there wasn't a coffee maker in the room? I just assumed, incorrectly, all hotel rooms have coffee makers nowadays? There was a coffee station in the lobby, however, the coffee was not very good...watery, very small cup size, no cream only powdered Coffeemate. Every morning I had to ask for either cups or lids, something was always not stocked. Day One, the breakfast was ok, nothing noteworthy.....cold eggs and empty warming trays, and a very cranky hostess. We had a bagel and a yogurt and paid $14 each. After that we went elsewhere for better breakfasts. What really bothered us was the massive lack of parking available. The lot only had maybe 15 spots and 2 Accessible spots. All guest cars were given yellow cards to place on the dash but we noticed over half of the cars in the lot didn't have yellow guest cards?? Were they staff vehicles?? There were 2 other parking "lots" nearby in the neighborhood but required driving through muddy construction, parking in VERY dark and sketchy looking lots and walking back to the hotel through all of the muddy construction. This should have been mentioned beforehand. The price was $988 for 4 nights, but we'll pay more to stay in Ottawa next time.
