When we checked in the room looked great, so we were really pleased and excited for our two night stay. What we didn’t expect was the room not to have any sound proofing whatsoever. We could hear everything in the hallway. People walking and talking in the corridor, the door opening in the corridor even though it wasn’t close to the room. Cleaners with hoovers and talking from 8:30am. Bins outside our window being emptied. We could hear everything - and I’m not a light sleeper. Our bed also sloped to one side so my parter felt like he was falling out of bed if he turned. We paid for a late checkout only to have fire alarms blazing 5 times from 11am. Can’t it wait until early afternoon? Overall the hotel looks great, but the quality of our stay was poor I’m afraid.

Everything was just perfect. The staff particularly in every section of the hotel were just amazing and we had such a lovely welcome. We only had breakfast but it was very good and again great friendly staff.

The hotel was acceptable but quite disappointing overall. The location is not very convenient, as it’s a long walk to the city centre. The facilities felt outdated, and the swimming pool was below average. Staff were polite, but service could be improved. Overall, it did not meet expectations for the price.

Nice hotel but we paid in advance for early check in and set off 3 hours earlier so we could enjoy the afternoon in Oxford but when we arrived we were told it was ‘subject to availability’ despite having actually paid for it and a confirmation saying it was accepted and contained no caveats.
