Cozy Cabin

Stormy Hill
Posted May 4, 2024 on HomeAwayVery cozy cabin. This was our first vrbo experience and it was painless! I would definitely recommend this place. Its close to Palmer and Wasilla.

Secluded private well-equipped accommodations
Posted Aug. 29, 2023 on HomeAwayWe booked this property to break up a drive from Denali to Homer. I chose it also because it had its own washer and dryer, which allowed us to pack lighter and wash clothes part way through our trip. This little place was just perfect. Located in a private gated community on a hill overlooking a small lake. We only stayed one night so didn't make use of the kayaks and paddle boards that Rebecca had available. The place had all the amenities one could need (even a tiny oven/stove that we didn't use, but we did use the washer/dryer). The bathroom was roomy and cozy at the same time. Bedding and beds were exceptionally comfortable, with an array of different pillow types (including foam!), and the place had sturdy blackout blinds. Rebecca greeted us when we arrived to let us know she was right next door if we needed anything. Wonderful place. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area or just passing through.

Stormy Hill Retreat

Great stay!!
Posted Jul. 20, 2023 on HomeAwayThis property is amazing! Gorgeous views of the mountains and a spring fed lake. The owner let us use her kayaks, paddleboard, and canoe. We all had a great time out on the lake! We did several loads of laundry, which was nice to be able to do after our glacier tour. The house is a nice-sized garage apartment with full kitchen. Palmer is a lovely city with several nice restaurants and grocery stores. Rebecca is the best host ever! She even brought over cinnamon rolls for us to throw in the oven the next morning! And her dog, Jack, was a big hit with the kids! We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend staying at least 2 nights. There is so much to do here. You will absolutely love your stay here!
