Great location, but not a 5-star experience
Definitely not a 5-star property — it feels a little tired and could use some TLC. The pool experience was rather unusual: the attendant kept a stack of neatly rolled “display only” towels, while guests were directed to take unfolded ones from a laundry basket nearby. I’ve never seen that before, not even at my gym. He was also quite rude to guests, often speaking to them in a condescending way that made people feel uncomfortable. I even witnessed him explaining to one guest that the folded towels were “display only, like at a watch shop,” before adding, “next time bring your wife — she understands more English.” I was stunned.
The front desk experience was also disappointing. The receptionist with brown hair came across as quite rude and unhelpful — even when I politely asked if she could dispose of a small dress tag, she told me to use the bin outside the hotel entrance, despite there being a bin directly next to her. It felt unnecessarily dismissive.
On the positive side, the location is excellent — right by the beach and next to one of Paphos’s main attractions, the Tombs of the Kings. Milena, the hotel manager, was the most helpful staff member I encountered; she ensured I got my beach towel deposit back and was genuinely pleasant to deal with.
