The location of this apartment canât be beat. Itâs in a beautiful building right across the river from Notre Dame. Yummy cafe right downstairs. Metro stop half a block away. Restaurant and stores nearby. Itâs on a busy road but the windows were thick because we couldnât hardly hear it. The apartment was well equipped and having two full bathrooms was great. A little pricey but worth it to stay in such a lovely spot.
Throughout the past decade, my husband, son, and I have had the pleasure of renting several wonderful VRBO apartments in Paris and this one has become yet another favorite. In the heart of the bustling St. Michel district, we loved being in a neighborhood close to many of the cityâs most renowned sites. We also thoroughly enjoyed the local shops, bars, and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The key fob entry at the street and foyer entrances of the building offered extra security and put us at complete ease in our surroundings. Everyone had their own private space with comfortable beds, and the multiple bathrooms/toilets afforded us the opportunity to easily get ready for our days of touring. The full kitchen enabled us to leisurely begin our mornings with coffee or tea and fresh pastries, and the washer/dryer enabled us to catch up on a bit of laundry from our prior three and a half weeks of travel. Despite it being above a busy street, the apartment was quiet, clean, and perfect for our needs - including the little elevator which becomes more of a necessity as we grow older for bringing luggage up and down a couple of flights of stairs. The prime location offers easy access to the Metro, taxis, and all points in Paris. I would highly recommend this property to a group of 2 to 6 adults or a small family who wish to experience "living" in one of Parisâ most delightful neighborhoods. We look forward to staying here again on a future visit to the City of Light.
This was an amazing location and a beautiful apartment. It was exactly as described: two bedrooms en-suite, a dine in kitchen and large and lovely living room. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet, even though it faced onto the Boulevard Saint-Michel. The location was perfect! It was across the street from one Christmas Market and just steps from Notre Dame and another Market. From our apartment we walked everywhere in spite of the drizzly weather! The metro/RER was a block from the apartment and very convenient but there was also a taxi rank at the corner of Saint-Michel and Saint Germain, so options for getting around Paris were just minutes from the apartment. All message we sent to our host were immediately answered. We only contacted the host twice while in France: first, upon arrival and second, when we wanted to be sure to dispose of our garbage. Otherwise, we did not have any questions or concerns that needed to be addressed. I would highly recommend this apartment to a family or two couples. Added bonus for us: our daughterâs boyfriend joined us and he proposed to her on Christmas Eve just as our dinner cruise turned around at the Eiffel Tower it was truly a magical Christmas for our family and the apartment helped to make it happen!
We loved this apartment! The location is spectacular. Many restaurants are within walking distance, and the Metro station is one block away. A delicious bakery is next door. Having three bathrooms (3 toilets, 2 showers) is a rarity in Paris. The beds were comfortable, and the decor is appealing. The only negatives were limited hot water, and the washer/dryer is functional but very slow. Neither of these issues diminished our visit and we would stay again.
