Lovely spot; beautiful beach, well equipped kitchen, clean; nothing fancy but comfortable. Would not recommend for families with a toddler or young child but good for a couple with a teenager

Location, location, location
The location of the cottage is terrific. The ocean and beach views are spectacular from sunrise to sunset. Any misgivings we had about the cottage were tempered by the wonderful scenery.
The cottage is very basic. Lots of windows to view the beautiful scenery. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of living room seating, a dining area for six, and a large kitchen counter that made entertaining and food preparation convenient. We entertained family and friends and everyone seemed pleased with the interior layout.
The cottage exterior needs work. The deck is large but is in very poor condition. The winds and precipitation have taken a toll on the building. There is a new BBQ that works well. There is limited patio furniture that only accommodates 2 guests. Luckily we brought our own umbrella and deck chairs so that we could entertain guests on the deck.
Here is our overall impression of the property:
If you look at the exterior of the cottage you will be disappointed; if you look at the interior of the cottage, you will happily surprised; and if you look at the scenery you will be happy with your choice of rental.

Summer joy
Our second stay at this beach house and the views/beach make it worth the visit... Nice to have the private beach available, both for us and our dog! Some of the best sunsets on the Island! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, prompt response to any requests we had. Thank you!

Perched on a bluff
We chose this property because of the location, and we were not disappointed! It is private, very quiet, close to beach and surrounded by birds and water! The beds and furniture were comfortable, the WiFI, TV etc worked great, and good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Good drinkable water a plus this close to the ocean. Kitchen well stocked, with new dishes, etc. We understand this property took a beating from Hurricane Fiona last fall, which resulted in a lot of repairs. The deck could use some improvements, but still a great place to watch the sunsets and sunrises! We really enjoyed our time at the house and are grateful we could bring our dog. She loved the daily walks on the beach and playing in the beautiful green lawn. The caretaker Stacey was great, very helpful etc.

Amazing location!
This is a very pretty and simple cottage located in a gorgeous location. We stayed for six nights and loved it. Yes, there are a lot of bugs and the outside deck needs work, but the location and beach more than made up for any drawbacks. We would definitely stay here again!

Dream location!
The cottage is a true beach house, with 360 views that are to die for, and the most amazing pristine beach/red rocks you could wish for.. we could not believe how beautiful it was! We walked/drove through golden canola fields to get to the cottage/beach, against blue blue skies.. truly a dream come true. Thank you for sharing this idyllic site with us!

Location, location, location!
This was our second time staying here and it’s the location — the views, the sunsets, the easy beach access — that keep us coming back. The cottage itself isn’t fancy, but it has everything you’d need. Murray is terrific to deal with. He was super flexible and even let us push our dates back to coincide with PEI’s reopening dates. We had a great 2 weeks of Island living and can’t wait for our next visit!

Incredible location
The location of this house is amazing. Located centrally, there is easy access to groceries, restaurants, Charlottetown, Anne of Green Gables sites and the beach. The view is the best on the island. If you are looking for peace, quiet and gorgeous sunsets - this is it. The house is more than sufficient but don't expect granite counters and comfy recliners. This did not keep us from staying here for the fourth year in a row!

beautiful acreage private beach but cottage in need of an update
We enjoyed the private beach and privacy of this lovely piece of PEI. We unfortunately left 4 days early because the cottage itself needs a good cleaning and decent bedding in order for us to feel comfortable sleeping at night or being indoors in the evenings. The bugs of course on a beach front are to be expected- windows that do not open or have inadequate or dirty old screens left a lot to be desired and we had terrible sleeps on old bedding and in both badly ventilated rooms.... bring your own pillows and linens for sure. Also not mentioned is the fact that although you have private beach access, and it is only a little short lovely walk away, the cottage is actually on a very high cliff and perhaps not suitable for small kids.. We would love to come back if only we had a better inside cottage experience and a good night sleep.

You will never find a more beautiful setting!
First, I will say that you will not find a more beautiful view/setting than this home on PEI. If you are an ardent fan of Anne of Green Gables, you will be thrilled that not only do you have an incredible view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence but also an amazing view of the sparkling waters of the Lake of Shining Waters. This lake is actually 'Campbell's Pond' that was the inspiration for the author to write about it/rename it in her books. Proof of this connection can be found in the Anne of Green Gables museum that is a lovely walk down the drive and across the street.
The house offers views that are never ending, the beach is a great place to walk, the sunsets are incredible and there are two new eagles nesting on the dunes that are quite entertaining to watch as they fish the lake and the gulf.
We had stayed in this house a year ago and upon our return had found some things changed as a storm had taken out part of the bluffs/walkway to the beach and caused some damage to one side of the house. The house manager had been hard at work restoring the walkway and putting things back in order. There were several glitches to work through as we were the first renters of the season. Mike worked very hard to get things straightened out for us. One thing we love about PEI is the wonderful people, one of whom is a neighbor who went above and beyond to get our internet set up so we could keep in touch with our 94 year old mom in the States.
If you are looking for a new home feel with granite counters and high end furniture, this is not the place for you. But if you want to wake up to the sound of wind and waves, take a morning walk on the beach, enjoy an afternooon looking out over the gulf and end the day with a glorious sunset that seems to go on forever, then this is the place for you. The house had all that we needed and the location is great, offering a natural retreat as well as close proximity to stores, restaurants and activities.

location, location, location
this cottage sits right on the ocean, as is visible in the picture. the view is stunning, absolutely stunning. that alone is reason to rent.
for fans of Anne of Green Gables, this also happens to be one of the areas on PEI where author Lucy Maude Montgomery grew up. the small white shack you pass on the way to this cottage was where she spent her summers (one of her descendants told me on the beach). it's cool to read AoGG on the same beach where LMM used to play.
the cottage has all the necessities including washer/dryer, kitchen appliances, and a new grill. i wouldn't call it "fancy" so if you are looking for upscale accommodations you might pass, but to me it's all about the location. we used to stay in a nicer cottage but without the view, and I would make that tradeoff every time.
i also have to say that the owner is exceptionally communicative and friendly.
