The carpets were incredibly stained, the pool only had filthy rain water in it, amenities were essentially non existent. I realise it's a budget property, but at the same time I don't want to feel as though I can't take off my shoes inside and a smart tv should basically be a given in 2025

Arrived at accommodation after travelling all day at 33 degrees. looking forward to a cool swim the reviews were great and pool looked good on website. Once checked in looked at the pool and and there was like 60cm of green water in pool. Asked if there was another pool, advised no. Asked if anywhere to swim and told to go to next town as we were travelling with a dog. Advised staff we only stayed for pool and asked if we could cancel. Was told she was happy to cancel, but we needed to do it through Wotif. We left accommodation and tried to cancel through Wotif. After dealing with the chat bot, then an agent was sent an email saying they could not cancel. Emailed the accommodation and they are now not replying. I have to go through the ACCC and my Credit card now. Would not recommend Wotif or Apollo.
