I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had at Hyatt House Parsippany East. I booked and fully paid for my stay through Expedia, but when I arrived, the front desk staff refused to let me check in unless I canceled my non-refundable Expedia booking and rebooked directly with them. It was clear they were trying to scam me out of more money. Because of this, I was left waiting for hours and ended up late to a wedding. The staff showed zero professionalism or empathy — just excuses and attitude. On top of that, the property itself is in terrible condition: the electricity kept going on and off, the bathrooms barely had any water pressure, and the place looked poorly maintained overall. I strongly advise against staying here. This hotel is dishonest, poorly managed, and completely untrustworthy. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else — this place gives the Hyatt brand a bad name.

Terrible Stay – Would Never Return

I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. The bathroom was absolutely filthy it looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time. The lights in the living room area didn’t work, leaving the room dark and uncomfortable. On top of that, there was only one chair in the entire suite, so we couldn’t even sit down together to eat. To make matters worse, there was a strange, unpleasant smell coming from the carpet and cabinets that made the whole room feel unclean. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. I expected a basic level of cleanliness and functionality, and this hotel failed on every front. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

First off they charge a $300 deposit, why I don’t know it’s not worth it. Also, overcharged my friend’s card $140 extra on top of “” upgrading the room which I didn’t see a upgrade but them moving us to a mobility access room which I didn’t book(which only meant for me is we came late so they switched our room out without our permission). Room wasn’t that clean had whoever’s hair stayed there before everywhere. The sheets were stained as well as pillowcases the only good thing about this was the location and that wasn’t worth it. We stayed one night and booked another hotel for the rest of our stay. One of the worst experiences when it comes to a hotel just one thing after the other, smh.

The room was average. I liked the actual set up! They need to replace the showers they are worn but the house keeping people were great if you needed anything so that was a plus. They offer a variety of things to do but nothing was open so what a waste. The continental breakfast was trash for the price of the stay. I have definitely had better at other hotels. But overall it was a great stay and I would book again if I had to.

The people at the Hyatt were friendly and courteous. What bothered me was having to pay for self parking at the hotel. I can understand if the hotel was in a city and parking spaces were at a premium, but no-this was in the suburbs and the hotel was surrounded by grassy areas. Trying to nickel and dime your guests left a bad impression. I double checked, and there was no mention of having to pay for parking. I have enjoyed staying at other Hyatt properties in the past, but this pettiness was very off putting. Enjoy your $18.12. I will only choose a Hyatt again if it’s the last resort.

Room hadn’t been updated in a long time, carpet was stained and had cigarette burns on it in the bathroom. Furniture was worn, there was fluorescent lighting over the kitchen. While there’s no way of getting here without a car, I had to pay extra fees for parking from a third party service, which added service fees on top.

I stayed at the Hyatt House as tye host hotel for the event I went to was sold out. That was the best thing to happen. For starters HH has breakfast! I stay at HH when I can and this was great. The selection wasnt vast; it was very tasty though. My room was amazing queen bed wity sofa bed and kitchen area, and a desk. I had sufficient space for myself. I even made it to the gym. Should I return for tye same event .... I will book at HH and take tye min drive to the host hotel.
