Pelicans Rest is a Guest Room in the Golden Triangle of Shoalwater Bay and the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park in Western Australia, at 200 meter from the beach. Penguin & Seal Island, and Swimming with the Dolphins are only 1.9 km away.

Old timber doors, unique handmade furniture, stunning bay and lead light windows, rustic venetian blinds and art nouveau lighting, create a welcoming, cosy atmosphere. Big pods of pelicans fly over on a daily basis

​The Guest Room is separated from the main house, with a separate side entry that allows guests to come and go as they wish. The bedroom (double bed) has a small office section and a basic food and drinks corner, but no dinner table.​The bathroom has a shower, a vanity and a toilet. ​The private patio is furnished and has a 3M garden umbrella

Amenities: free and fast NBN Wi-Fi (40Mbps), smart HDTV with free Netflix, split-system AC for heating & cooling, ceiling fan, Everdure Furnace gas BBQ (utensils, oil and spices provided), microwave, Nespresso coffee maker with selection of Premium Vittoria coffee pods, toaster, hot water kettle, hair dryer, ironing board with iron, toiletries, safe, free Parking and an info corner with a broad range of Western Australian tourism brochures. The Shoalwater area is covered by Telstra's 5G network. Laundry service is available on request and is not always guaranteed as it requires the hosts to be home ($15 per load of 5kg).

House policies: arrival: check-in from 2pm. Departure: check-out by 10am. Pelicans Rest has a No Pets and No Smoking policy. Smoking permitted on the outdoor front veranda only. The unit is located in a very quiet residential beach area so please do not book if you are looking for a place to party.

Very pleasant place to stay. Quiet, peaceful & very private. Easy access to Rockingham City & beaches. Definitely something different regarding accommodation as the room was furnished with very attractive Jarrah wood & a lot of thought has gone into the layout. Peter, the owner, is very nice & accommodating. We will be back!

Perfect base for our Birding Trip! Characterful wooden interior studio space, in a quiet location. Ideal as we could come and go easily for those dawn photo opportunities. We also enjoyed the private outdoor seating area with plenty of shade.

Simply… photos don’t do it justice. This place was such a godsend at the end of a busy day, so comfortable and private. The little things make all the difference. Like the welcoming decanter of Port, the chockies and the selections from coffee to Milk. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a little piece and quiet. With shopping center down the road and public transport not too far. Well done Pelicans rest, I’ll be back

Comfortable accommodation and bed. The side door to the verandah, added extra ventilation to reduce the heat buildup in late afternoon. A fold down, one legged table from the jarrah cabinet would be extremely advantageous when making hot drinks/breakfast, as there is little to no room, between the electric appliances.

My stay at Pelican's Rest was fantastic, close to the beach and about a 10min drive to shops. Hosts were great, I really love all the nice little touches that make the room feel homely and cozy. I would defintely stay again.
