I recently stayed at the Conwell Inn. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel itself felt very run down. Our room did not resemble the photos online—the paint on the walls was bubbling, and the overall condition looked tired. The bed was far too soft, making it feel like sleeping in a hammock. While the room was clean, everything carried a sense of wear and neglect. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you specifically need to stay in the area.

This hotel was exactly what we needed after visiting the Met. The parking was hard to find, but once we found it, it was good. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.

From Campus Visit to Graduation!

Perfect spot to end our time at Temple. We stayed here during our campus visit & 5 years later to move out our master’s degee son, now alumni!!

The staff was excellent. Mia was at the front desk when we checked in - friendly and very knowledgeable about the Temple campus. She was very helpful in arranging an extra bed in the room, going out of her way to confirm when it was convenient to us for her to be in the room and setting up the bed by herself. The only reason for less than 5 stars is that the queen bed was extremely soft, so soft that management should consider replacing the mattress.

Very well-located, even if you don't have business at Temple University (it is on the grounds). Short walk to Broad Street (Orange) line, which gets you to downtown quickly; also a short walk from AIR train line. Dining options surrounding it were fine, but geared towards students. Inn is an older building, but well-maintained. There is a student run cafe inside which has solid muffin, smoothie & coffee options. The rooms are on the old side, and the bed was quite soft (too soft) but it was clean. The bathroom is small, which is OK, but the sink has no place to put your shaver, toothbrush or anything else -- and it all tilts towards the drain; need to add a small thin shelf to the wall. Overall, if you find a reasonable price, like I did (about $70 cheaper than downtown), I would definitely stay here again.

It is literally on the Temple U campus! It is right around the corner from the Inn. As small as it is it is located near a variety of restaurants to eat from. The bed is comfortable! The wallpaper should be updated in the bathroom but it was clean and it had no signs of being worn out/abused (holes).No mini fridge in the room or microwave. They have the fridge available for an extra fee of $10?! they ice machine, it is in the basement.Parking is $21.60 (taxes) per night but you can come and go as you please you just need to have the placard for your mirror when parked. 24 hour 7 eleven in walking distance if you need something to drink or snack on!

My son and I stayed here when we saw Metallica at Lincoln Financial. A couple blocks walk to metro, excellent pizza joint nearby. The hotel itself was clean and snug. Definitely a good quiet place to stay.
