The apartment was very spacious, we stayed for 15 nights and were very comfortable. The two bedrooms were very nice and the beds very comfy. Well equipped with slippers and dressing gowns, iron and ironing board. A lovely bathroom and plenty of towels. The kitchen had 2 hob rings, microwave, and full size fridge and freezer. There were a few pans and utensils as well as crockery. (No oven). The pool was lovely and there is a gym, sauna and steam room. Air con in each room so we could set temperatures to our own preferences - and loved the quiet sleep mode! The staff were pleasant, they spoke English okay for questions about the hotel and the area. The hotel provided bottles of water daily. The Lucky supermarket round the corner was well stocked with many imported goods, so we could prepare our own meals easily. Location was good for us, we were volunteering on the southern side of the city, but it was a quick 10-15 mins by tuk tuk to the more touristy area along the river and by the Royal Place. Very few negatives - the cups were tiny and we like coffee in a good sized mug, but the Lucky supermarket had some so all okay! Also bought a t-towel as we were cooking for ourselves quite a lot. From an eco-friendly point, our bedding and towels seemed to be changed every day, I'd be happy with fresh bed linen every few days and towels only when left on the floor.

It's a lovely property, though a bit dated. We arrived late but checked in with no hassle. The street is quite busy and noisy, especially on the balcony. The apartment was well set out, with a separate bedroom and living area—good wifi, a nice comfortable bed and a full kitchen, which we never used but was handy. The rooftop swimming pool was a bonus. The staff were super helpful and spoke English. Transportation to tourist sites was not an issue; we used Grab taxis and tuk-tuks a lot, which were cheap. Just be aware that Cambodia uses USD alongside its currency, Riel. Currency conversion can be a pain, but the locals were honest and warm. No one tried to rip us off.

Stingy, and Unsafe

I tried out this place since it’s closer to some area I wanted.The rules they laid out gave me a big red flag. I booked two family suites, a two br suite was for my whole 13 days, another 3 br suite was for family at the end of the trip. Luckily I booked them in chunk, rather the whole duration. I checked in after about 20 hours of flying from in with a 2yrs old, and was told that only 3 people with IDs can stay (one of my local family didn’t bring one). I asked for an acception, they said, “Yes, but we’re not accommodating or giving anything extra (pillow, towels…) to the extra person. Fine, rules is rule. Rule #2- All visitors will need to provide ID. Sounds like it’s for safely reason so that’s fine. Rule #3-No outside guess allowed to go swim with (ID-ed) guess, and Only ID-ed guess could ask for swimming towels. I had to cancel plans with friends who wanted to visit right away. I didn’t say much but asking to only check me in for the 1st part of my booking. I’ll cancel the rest and book at City View Apartment. It’s $30 cheaper/night,12-1400sqft, 2 stories , 2-3 bed 3 baths, balcony,washing machines , double the size for 1/2 the price, and much more friendly customer service. It’s a bit far but a $2 Tuk Tuk ride to riverside is worth it now. THIS HOTEL IS NOT SAFE! If you have small childrens, please keep your eyes on them. All the shinny staircase include the one by the pool have wide open windows next to the steps, they are always open wide at EVERY FLOOR.

On check-in, there were 5 adults to stay. 2 days later, one of the member (father) checked-out, but was replaced by the other 2 adults & 2 children to stay. Meaning, total of 6 adults + 2 children, significantly exceeding our standard occupancy limit. We're regret you still complain even we made every effort to accommodate your group without imposing any additional charges.2. Requiring guests and visitors to provide identification (ID/passport) at the Front Desk is a standard practice in the hospitality industry, primarily for the safety and security of all guests. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.3. Our policy (restriction to outsiders) regarding the use of property facilities, including the swimming pool, is in place to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all guests. While we understand the desire for family gatherings, it's crucial to consider the impact on other guests' experiences. This policy is intended to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.4. There's 1 more thing you missed to mention. During your stay, you broke a microwave plate. You refused to pay, you bought a new plate to replace even though it was different and low quality. We forced to accept it just to resolve the issue quicker. We are disappointed to still receive the complains from you, while we really think we deserve an appreciation.We value all our guests and strive to meet their needs to the best of our abilities. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our services further.If you have any additional concerns or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Did not expect what I expected..the room was small n is not updated.queen bed is small doesn't look like a queen bed.sofa have a cigarette burn on the cushion..doesn't looked like the picture they posted!..I didn't even stay at the place.I checked-in n checked right back out..waste of money!
