Expedia listed AC as an amenity which was false -- not all of the bungalows have AC. They were full when I stayed there so upon check in, I was placed in a distant bungalow that only had a fan in the space. The cost of the stay and the bare bones/ lack of AC deters me from recommending this.
We had an amazing stay, unique chalets that are in a wood which sweeps down to the sea. Please make sure you read the amenities, itâs top end of basic. They have a lovely restaurant, but there are more within walking distance. Mopeds are there to hire also kayaks so you can explore the island and surrounding islands. Only a couple of chalets that would be suitable for the less able that are just set back from the sea front. If you want to experience something a little different this Iâd definitely a place for you. Highly recommend No. 11
Selma who manages the hotel was really helpful as was the rest of the staff.
Hotel is located in a really good area of the island to access restaurants and beaches
I really liked the location and my stay. Our hut was right at the top of the hill so there were a fair few steps up but we didnât mind to feel immersed in the jungle. Our second night there was a huge electric storm which was a little scary being in the hut but everything held out and we enjoyed our little adventure. Iâd definitely recommend but you need your bug spray!!!
We had to wait one hour to check in although there was only one couple before us. The owner went through the whole food menu and what hours the kitchen was opened. When we just wanted to get to our bungalow and leave our bags as we had already got the key, the woman at the reception (the owner?!) jelled at us in a âfriendlyâ way to come back. we just wanted to get to the beach before the tide got in. Instead we had to sit and listen to the same story as we had already heard about the menu and when they ran out of prawns.
A bad start on our stay that unfortunately didnât get any better. The bungalow was very simple but cute. However, the bathroom and the toilet was not clean at all..nâeither of us wanted to go in there and we tried to use the toilets after having lunch or dinner.
We rented a scooter at the sabai corner. After about one kilometer we realised it had a flat tire. We stopped and called the sabai for help. They sent some guys to fix the tire. Very fast working and helpful guys that we had to pay. When returning the scooters we explained that we had payed for their flat tire as it was already broken when we got it. The ownerâs reaction âit is what it is. If you get a flat tire here you get a flat tire and payâ. We explained that it was already broken when we got it and that we didnât want to pay for someone elses flat tire. âIt is not my businessâ. At least, we didnât have to pay for it. Overall, the atmosphere and the bad service gives the place a dark auora.
