This older home has been magnificently remodeled and updated. It was a very nice change to stay an evening at this location as opposed to a hotel. Will definitely stay at the Hitching Horse Inn again if traveling through Pierre.

We liked the accommodation at the Hitching Horse Inn as it was in a convenient location, very clean and tidy, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpfu; staff and very comfortable. We would like to stay here again when visiting Pierre SD.

We stayed for a figure skating competition. Area was quiet and safe. Owner was sweet. Property had great charm and felt warm and inviting. We didnt get to enjoy the awesome breakfast because of the competition but will so try it next time! Would book again! 10/10

Wonderful stay - many thoughtful touches, warmly decorated, very kind staff. The only complaint I could have is that the traffic noise is loud if your room is on the front side of the house. However, there is a beautiful deck off the rooms on the front side of the house as well!

Beautiful and cozy home with traditional style. Room was spacious and equipped with a desk, private bath, TV and king bed.
Breakfast was stellar!
Deb is an amazing hostess and was happy to have a conversation with her.
If you're looking for quaint, home feel this is the place for you!

I loved the decor and choices of colors throughout the home. It felt warm and homey.
Very friendly people that run the place.
