Welcome to our charming 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the heart of Pittsburgh's vibrant South Side! This stylish and cozy space is the perfect home base for your Pittsburgh adventures, offering both comfort and convenience.

The Space
Step inside and discover a tastefully decorated living area, thoughtfully furnished for relaxation and enjoyment. Sink into plush sofas while you unwind with your favorite shows or movies on the flat-screen TV. Need a pick-me-up? Brew a cup of coffee using the Keurig machine, complete with complimentary pods. The unit features a fully equipped kitchen with sleek quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or simply need a place to heat up leftovers, this kitchen has everything you need. The three bedrooms are designed with your comfort in mind, featuring cozy beds and ample storage space for your belongings. After a day of exploring the city, sink into the soft linens and enjoy a restful night's sleep. The bathroom is clean and well-appointed, stocked with fresh towels and essentials to make your stay as convenient as possible.

Guest Access

You will be located one street off of East Carson St. A perfect spot that is not too close and not too far from the main strip. You will have access to the entire unit and a back deck area.

Other things to note:

We do not have provide parking but we provide recommendations for guests. We charge $25 per pet per day. For the comfort of our community, we have installed roomonitor which monitors the noise of loud parties and loud music. We have also installed a smoke monitor to detect indoor tobacco and marijuana usage.

I have no words. THIS is why people are afraid to use short term rental sites. We entered this home and IMMEDIATELY smelled mold and mildew, strong. I’m a Realtor, my husband is in construction. We know houses. It only took moments to find the significant water stains on the ceilings, and not just one room, but throughout the house. The yellow stains were 3-5 feet long and one directly above the headboard of one of the primary bedrooms. Clearly this home has water intrusion issues that the host is neglecting. The exposed brick walls in the kitchen are so damp and deteriorated that the paint is simply falling right off and the brick below disintegrates upon gentle touch. This property is not safe to sleep in and needs remediation. We left within minutes. I took photos and video, per VRBO’s request, and yet the owner REFUSED to address our situation and said he’d send a maintenance person to fix the issues. Fix. The. Issues? How could one fix damaged drywall, water intrusion, paint, AND mold remediation during our 4 day stay? I was utterly baffled by this response. This, plus stained carpeting, filthy walls & broken blinds. I would never recommend anyone stay at this property or anywhere these hosts are in charge of. Their lack of response to the severity of the situation was utterly alarming. Thank goodness VRBO reviewed the claim and refunded our money, I would not have been able to trust this platform otherwise. Guests Beware!

Listing needs transparency on parking and amenities

Very disappointed with this listing. Upon check in, we noted and notified that pretty much every window blind in the apartment was broken and missing many slats. Walls were dirty and needed cleaning, as did the bathroom. AC were all window units and did not cool the unit well. The big issue was parking. The listing does not that parking is not provided. What it does not note is that street parking is largely unavailable and public parking is not close at all, and not cheap.

Stay in Southside

We had a lovely stay at the Carey Townhome. Everything was exactly as promised and the location was perfect. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk while still being located in a quiet area. Tom was very easy to communicate with as well. I would definitely recommend staying at the Carey Townhome in the future.

Property was as advertised. Clean, Great location. Had the kitchen items we needed. Plenty of room for all. Worked well for 4 of us. Beds could have been a little more comfortable on the main level. Upper level beds comfortable. Lots of stairs. But most South side flat properties will have lots of stairs. Location made up for all of that and we were satisfied. Pros: Property was neat and tidey for most part. Nicely decorated to make it homey-vibe. Bathroom was very nicely remodeled, (shower kind of small if you’re a plus sized person) Great location off of Carson Street, able to walk to a lot from this location. Keyless entry was a breeze. All information was emailed in appropriate time of check in. Cute little area of coffee/laundry items provided in kitchenette area. Complimentary bathroom items also included in case you forget an item. Cons: 1 garbage bag provided, intense dog smell but able to be aired out with windows open several hours. “Private deck space” is actually a crevice between 2 buildings, no view but walls- can only fit 3 people comfortably but there is a table to fit 4. Sleeps 8 but only 4 utensils/5 towels provided. Needs a thorough cleaning, lots of junk under couch/crumbs from hard pretzels on counters we cleaned ourselves. Everyone who stayed the night woke up from a sore throat and had a several day cough, believed to be due to AC units needing cleaned and city air.

House is great - Communication needs improvement

The initial booking went fine, but the problem was when I needed to extend the reservation due to a family emergency (which was the reason for the initial stay). They sent the new reservation to pay for the additional time and accepted the booking. Long story short we had to move out of the house a day early and find additional accommodations because of a booking error. This was very difficult on our family that was already going through a tragedy of life or death. This was totally unexpected since the owners kept sending tons of emails before the booking about various things that could have been sent in one check-in email. The bad part was that had to a number of emails and call a couple of times in order for them to respond to me about the booking issue. One way communication is not the best way to operate. I would book again, but would suggest that they improve their communication process.

The Stay in South Side Flats

Our contact, Tom, was great. Checked in on us by message several times. The upstairs bedroom AC didn’t work the first night which made it extremely hot, but Tom had it repaired the following day ASAP. Shower was also slow to drain, but we didn’t get around to letting Tom know, though I’m sure he would have resolved that as well.

Could be super cute if cleaned up!

My friend and I booked a stay here for a concert a PNC paints arena. It only took a couple of mins to get to the venue from the apartment. You need to park in one of the paid lots nearby. We didn’t have a problem finding a spot. The owner is really nice and accommodating. He made sure we got there and were able to get in with our code. Communication is on point. The issue that we had was that the house looked like it hadn’t been clean in forever. There were marks on the walls, dust and cobwebs all over and the area rugs and carpets were really dirty. I did speak to the owner about this and he assured me that he would take care of it. We had a hard time getting a good night sleep and left at 6am because we just were not comfortable with the level of cleanliness. The place would have been very cute otherwise.

It was very good all around. The host was extremely willing to help and stayed in contact when we needed help. Could use a paint job and a sturdier railing leading to the second floor. I would rent again either way. Great location, great food and extremely helpful host.

Not worth the money

The property smelled of smoke and the bathroom, carpet on the stairs, and walls are in need of serious cleaning. There's no way this was renovated recently. If you smoke and like the sound of loud parties, this is the place for you. The advertised "roomonitor" and "smoke monitor" must not work because of the prior smoke smell and the party next door felt like they were in my unit. The smoke smell was so strong it couldn't have been from the prior renter because the smell never went away. Asked the property manager to fix the TV and it went unresolved. Stayed two nights without a TV. Five of us sat around a laptop to watch Netflix. I even bought batteries hoping I could fix it and it still didn't work. There was never an attempt by the manager to fix it. Plenty of apologies but no resolution. I think the manager thought if he apologized enough I would just go away. Not hard to fix a TV. Towels were provided, however, sheets consisted of just a fitted sheet and no top sheet or pillowcases. The location was good, but the noise and weed smell from the unit next door was less than desirable.

Checking MLB parks off the list

We were in town for a short stay to check PNC park off our list. We always opt to book something through vrbo rather than a hotel, and found this to be conveniently located for the park and other site seeing during our short stay. Tom was a very thorough host, and his rental was perfect for our family of 4. While the parking situation was tricky at certain times of day, we downloaded the parking app and we were able to easily pay for parking without leaving the house. A great stay in a great city! Good location

The location is good. Street parking is required, but easy to find. There are several good restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Some small items need to be tightened up (stair railing, shower drain, dish washer and clothes washer), but it did meet all of our needs for a family vacation.
