Surrounded by the pines at 4000 ft we get the best of both seasons with a fair amount of snow in the winter and a place to escape the heat in the summer. Just under an hour to Lake Tahoe and 45 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe. And, less than a 10 minute drive to Jenkinson Lake and only a 35 minute trip to Ice House Reservoir to enjoy some of the best trout fishing around.
We have a large open deck with a propane firepit to keep you warm on the starry nights, an outdoor dining table and a propane grill.
If you need to do laundry, we have a new Samsung high capacity washer and a dryer. We also have a portable air conditioner for the summer months that is installed in the living room along with an air purifier. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
We offer free Netflix on our 65" smart tv, great wi-fi and the cell signal is surprising good in the area. Incredibly quiet, serene and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
100% of all cleaning fees (usually more) are paid directly to our professional cleaner. We do not keep any portion of the cleaning fees.
Please note: During the winter we can get heavy snow. Chains and/or 4WD may be necessary. Guests have access to the entire home. Limit of two cars in the summer and only one in the winter please.

El Dorado county's new VHR maximum occupancy is four (4) persons six (6) years of age and older. We also allow one additional child age five and younger.
This was honestly the best VRBO Iâve ever stayed at. It was so clean, nice area, super quiet, had stuff for the lake and snow. I mean if youâre looking for a cute getaway or something that feels camping, I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin. The owners are super nice as well and respond real quickly. I would so stay here again! :)
The cabin was just what we were looking for a long weekend away. Secluded enough, but easy striking distance to Placerville/hikes/amenities. We even managed to get a few inches of snow - a great stay!
We live in the South Bay and went up to Pollock Pines for a relaxing long weekend. We loved this cabin! Very clean and well appointed. It was situated in a wonderful neighborhood with easy access to the main road and Highway 50, so we were able to do day trips to Auburn, Coloma and Placerville. Phil was a very responsive host and shared some good hiking tips with us. We want to try and go back for another stay in this little oasis in the pines.
This cabin's hosts went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we could possibly need. Andrew was responsive to our texts, and there were notes and instructions in the cabin. The wifi was strong, the huge TV in the living room was wonderful, there was heat in every room, there were bountiful supplies in the kitchen. It was quiet at night, and the view from the living room was peaceful and lovely. It was delightful! The only small glitch was that the road leading away from the cabin was in dire need of repair, but that was not the host's fault and wouldn't deter us from coming back.
I stayed here with 2 of my adult children. We were just craving some time in nature to hang out, eat good food and be cozy. :) Nice clean cabin, thoughtfully appointed, a wood burning stove and lots of big trees gave us everything we wanted. We stopped at Apple hill and picked up a pie and browsed a little in Placerville. Lots of scenic places nearby but for this trip, we were just ccntent to chat by the fire and munch on charcuterie.
Wonderful stay. The cabin was fully stocked with most everything you could think of. Very clean and organized. The property manager was very responsive to a question we had. Overall, would highly recommend....the one downside: watching TV was a challenge. We wanted to watch "normal" TV for football games but could not figure out the set-up. We ended up streaming on our phone with our home internet provider, not ideal on such a small screen. There are other choices, just not traditional tv channels. Didn't ruin our stay, but wanted to mention.
Cedar Pines Cabin was exactly as advertised. The cabin was very well equipped, very comfortable and lovely. We enjoyed eating on the deck every night. Great location with easy access to wonderful hiking. I'd stay there again.
Wanted a few days just to get away to enjoy the trees and nature. This was a perfect place. Clean and all the amenities you would expect. Kitchen had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Had to call the owner with a small problem. He answered immediatly and talked me through the solution and resolution. Very friendly! Nice deck with large table for meals and a fire pit for evening relaxation. We did not use the fire pit because the weather was hot, but we are sure it would have been great, weather permitting. When we are looking for a cabin on a quiet little street this is where we will go.
Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.!
The cabin was perfect! The hosts really thought of everything right down to a kit in the bathroom with a nail file and q tips and as a woman with thick hair the blow dryer was perfect! The deck was beautful at night with the string lights and with only neighbors behind you it felt so secluded! Kitchen fully stocked, couches and bed so comfortable and the spare room set up for kids with a gaming system was awesome! All of this for a crazy good price! We definitely plan on coming back!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. I have a friend who lives in the area who is terminally ill and the location was perfect. We had a wonderful visit. We hope to have the opportunity to rent the cabin again. Thanks for a wonderful time.
The property was super clean. Everything was well organized and put together very well. Very impressed. Our hosts were super friendly. Would highly recommend.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 (3kids, 2 adults), while we visited family for the holidays. The cabin was pristine and thoughtfully stocked with essentials. We love to cook and appreciated having the basics. No snow this time.
The cabin is tucked away on a quiet street (road a is a little rough and tumble but completely manageable; for future families- if there had been snow we would have stuck with our SUV rental rarher than a minivan to make sure we made it up and down the hill). We were close to groceries and just a short trip down the hill to shopping in placerville.
Our host was quick to communicate, which was extremely helpful.
We loved our stay and will definitely be back for future family visits.
Thank you for opening your home to us.
