Great stay

Poor Hotel Standard
Posted Jul. 17, 2017 on HotelsBeen given a room looking into the wall!! When we got into the room after dinner @ 10.45pm there is a bad smells coming from the window. There are wooden pallets under the window with damp leaves and since the wall is block so poor air circulation. Asked the hotel assistant to inspect it and been told she will contact the manager and never return. We went down stair to check but door to reception was locked and no way out....feel like been trap :( with no choice sleep unrest in the room and complaint the next morning. Ended up been told by manager 'no one has ever made such complaint', sounded our complaint is silly and no discount or whatsoever is offer. Not mentioned the facility needed to improve. Shower door can't be close and toilet flush not working properly. Will not return for 81/Eur for this standard!!!

Good Hotel in an interesting area

Pros: Good restaurant & friendly staff - the receptionist (Manager/Proprietor) spoke excellent English which is always a help given my clumsy French.
Cons: Very good as it is.
Location: Chateaux/River visits views - plenty of activities on the water i.e. Canoeing/Fishing etc.
I stayed for 1 night on my way south. The Hotel is very comfortable and my room was clean, of good size and I slept well.
I ate in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed my meal from the set 27€ menu. The Hotel is close to a number of local Chateaus - I took a trip by boat that sailed beneath the arches of Chenonceaux on a lovely sunny afternoon - recommended trip if you have the time.

Réservation pour 1 nuit étape : PARFAIT ! Rien a redire, entre la propreté, les conseils des propriétaires, le petit-déjeuner très copieux, la possibilité de payer en Chèques ANCV, la chambre silencieuse, le parking juste devant ... c'était idéal !

Personnel accueillant. Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, joli jardin, mais la chambre de base est équipée de manière très basique...
