We landed late in the morning from a delay of the ferry and Bernie was so accommodating, he stayed open until we all arrived to check in. The room was very nice, spacious and the bed gave a great sleep. The complementary.breakfast was just sufficient enough for the morning. I’m looking forward to staying here again on my return back to the Island.

The bed was comfortable but the underwear under the bed made the comfort questionable. The bathroom was dated but the clump of hair made the dated look disgusting. Long short it is in need of some love. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was short staffed. It showed by a he lack of attention to detail. Everything was done to minimal standards.

The place is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and polite. You can prepare some breakfast to go in the evening before heading off to the ferry early in the morning. Yet, the design of the room looked very old and run down. One of the queen beds squeaked. Therefore, only 4 of 5 stars. Nevertheless, we would book again and can recommend the place.

A short but enjoyable stay.

We came back to Port Hardy for a family funeral & chose the Airport Inn for it's convenient location. The staff are super friendly making check in a breeze. The lobby was very clean & the restaurant served an absolutely delicious dinner. I've kniwn the nanager Bernie fron his time.in Nanaimo & it was nice to catch up with an old friend whi has done an incredible job updating this hotel. All in all, it was a great stay under the circumstances. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the North Island.
