The property was beautiful with lots of trees and a view of the water. The unit was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet. While the listing specifically states the items present in the kitchen, there effectively is no kitchen. Meaning no toaster or kettle. As stated in other reviews, this is a ground floor unit and the owners live overhead. It was a good place to stay.
The space was comfortable, and it's a real plus to be so close to Manchester State Park - that was a highlight! A Trump sign greets you at the entrance, FYI. Jeff & Gena were communicative and kind. You can hear folks walking and moving around upstairs, but nothing too loud, just footsteps. The s'mores provisions are a sweet touch. Echoing other reviews that there isn't a full kitchen, but a mini fridge, microwave, & coffee maker.
The house was very nice and the owners were immediately responsive to questions.
The rooms are a lower level of the house with a private entrance and a very well maintained and nice yard with a patio.
You cannot access the patios with the view in the listing though.
We were very happy with every aspect of this stay from start to finish. Our hosts provided excellent instructions and directions to their very clean and comfortable 2-bedroom VRBO property! Our hosts provided everything we needed for our one night stay! The property's view of the Puget Sound and Bainbridge Island was beautiful and we enjoyed the delightful visit of a doe and her fawn as we drank our morning coffee. We also saw sea lions during a visit to the nearby beach. Our hosts also provided a variety of local sightseeing, restaurant, and grocery recommendations. For those who may wish to spend a longer time here, there is a Keurig with complimentary coffee pods and a microwave as well as water bottles in a smaller refrigerator, however, this VRBO does not currently offer a kitchen facility, so plan your meals accordingly.
We stayed with another family for 1 night.
We received check in information a few days before. The home had a beautiful view, clean, had everything we needed and more!
There were games in the closet, sâmores kits, fire pit, outdoor seating, coffee, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, etc.
The owners were friendly, responsive, and accommodating. It was perfect for our quick trip with our friends and kids!
The place was amazing. We got to wake up to a doe and two fawns. Only complaint is that it doesnât mention the owners are on the second floor. Given it was our wedding night that wouldâve been nice to be aware of.
Photos are old and taken from a drone. Took my mother (retired) and we had hoped to sit and watch the boats on the water. In reality the trees and shrubs are so tall you can only see small bits of blue. This is two bedrooms in a daylight basement with owners above. No thermostate access to control AC or fan even though listed as having AC. Glad I packed a fan to get some air moving as windows are below deck and no breeze. A deer on the lawn was a nice surprise. Fine, not great for what we wanted. Hotel may have had better views
It was very clean and inviting inside. Thereâs no real kitchen but it had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom is very nice! Smart TVs in the rooms. The windows face the back yard which is very green and we saw a mother deer and her faun grazing. Fantastic experience!
This rental was very peaceful! We saw deer in the yard on multiple occasions! It felt like you were in the forest! We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and we slept like babies.
Port Orchard is a great place, and Manchester pub was one of our favorites. The home is quite remote, the view in the pictures is taken from the balcony which is not accessible to you. The rooms you stay in are in the basement and there is no view unless you walk to the other side of the property. There are no controls for heat or AC so you cannot adjust anything for temperature. There is also no kitchen, it says kitchenette, that is not accurate, there is a microwave, coffee maker, and a small fridge. There is no cabinets, plates, or silverware, and no sink. There is a grill, but with nothing to eat on. The place is stocked with a minimum of supplies, for example there were two of us and we had two towels, no wash cloths, and no hand towels.
The setting. Is beautiful, quiet, and you can sit in the yard and watch the boats go hy. We enjoyed staying there but it was not a normal VRBO experience. This is like a hotel room out in the middle of nowhere. As long as it suits your needs, you will love it, just know what you are getting.
What we disliked most was that the description is very misleading. Itâs a bit of a walk to the waterfront with only an obstructed view of the water from the lower level. Sheets were very low quality. Woke up to a blast of heat at 6:30 am and no way to turn it down so my guess itâs controlled by the main house. Couldnât get out of there fast enough . Checked in at 8 pm out at 8 am!
