The new owners took over 2 months ago and are working on improvements. I like the retro look of exterior and interior of the motel which is a short walk from the relaxing view of crescent lake and portage golf course. It is in a quiet, residential neighborhood and a short drive from shoppers drug, banks, gas, dining options on Saskatchewan Avenue West.

Awesome! We stayed for one night but it felt like home: very clean, very comfortable beds, very quiet. The room had 2 queen beds and kitchenette but there was still enough space to hangout with a family and a dog. The owner was so nice, so friendly and made us feel special guests. She called me to check on us because we were late and provided additional towels as there were 4 of us and the room was prepared for 2 people. Excellent experience! I'd give 10 Stars if I could!

Old motel well located in heart of Portage

This is an old rustic 70s motel that perhaps would need some renovations. With that said, it is very clean and is well located in the town of Portage La Prairie. Comfortable bed and fine shower. Very good service at the front desk.

We were greeted by the male owner of the property. He had an excellent sense of humour. Our check-in was quick and efficient. The room, although on the small side, was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. It was very quiet which promoted a very good nights sleep. Check out was also quick and easy. Would recommend this property to anyone.

We needed a place to stay last minute due to the fire evacuations and the Yellow Quill Motel was available. They were friendly, clean, affordable, and quiet. The laundry service was great and very appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.
