Hotel was disappointing. Very small room with scuffed up walls. Our river view on the fourth floor was a concrete wall you needed to peer over. Bed not very comfortable and water not provided. Have to buy water or get it from the bathroom sink. No coffee maker in room, only a kettle, and most days the tea or instant coffee was not replenished. Location not great- nothing around the hotel if you need to grab a coffee or snack.

The hotel is right on the river, excellent views. Our room was very small but clean, adequate and had a balcony. Easy to walk to many restaurants and shopping within minutes. Absolutely beautiful city. The crowds however were intense with tourists, us being also tourists. Walking tours during peaks times are not ideal. Way too many on the tours to take anything in. Self walking tours much better.

The hotel is in a great location but very old. Needs a “facelift”. Rooms are of decent size, with a beautiful view to Douro River and bridge from the balcony. Good breakfast was included in our stay. Shower leaked with every use.
