C'est l'appartement parfait pour ceux qui aiment se détendre à la fin de la journée, aprÚs avoir exploré la ville, en savourant un vin du Porto dans cette ambiance raffinée et chaleureus, ponctuée de piÚces vintage des premiÚres décennies du XXe siÚcle!
Le grand confort de l'appartement est garanti par la climatisation et l'excellente isolation et insonorisation, et aussi pour les tissus velours et soie, et délicats draps sur les lits.

L'appartement, dans un immeuble traditionnel des annĂ©es 40, vient d'ĂȘtre entiĂšrement restaurĂ©. Son emplacement est parfait pour explorer la ville de Porto Ă  pied!

La cuisine est équipée y compris plaque vitrocéramique, réfrigérateur, lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes, grille-pain, four, grill, machine à café expresso, bouilloire, etc., et machine à laver et aspirateur. Disponible aussi deux télévisions LCD et connexion Wi-Fi.

Il a deux salles de bain complÚtes, et les détails des chambres à coucher sont:

1 - la chambre violet, trÚs confortable, et dont la seule ouverture est une grande porte coulissante en verre sur le lumineux hall d'entrée du petit balcon, et avec des rideaux épais pour couper la lumiÚre.
Le imposant lit en bois de rose de la premiÚre décennie du XIXe siÚcle est dans le style traditionnel portugais Dona Maria et a un confortable matelas de 1,40 x 2,00

2 - la chambre verte a un lit king-size (1,80 x 2,00) et matelas de la plus haute qualitĂ© qui peut ĂȘtre sĂ©parĂ© en deux lits simples. Il y a des stores et des rideaux pour l'obscuritĂ© totale.

3 - la chambre rouge, chaleureuse et accueillante, a un canapé-lit qui s'ouvre et se transforme dans un confortable lit double de 1,40 x 2,00 et aussi des stores et des rideaux épais pour l'obscurité totale.
Pour entrer dans la chambre verte vous passez par la chambre rouge, donc, pour une occupation jusqu'à 4 personnes, la chambre verte fonctionne comme une grande suite avec antichambre et salle de bain privée.

L'appartement a deux entrées. Par l'entrée principale, l'appartement est au deuxiÚme étage, sans ascenseur, mais avec des escaliers trÚs confortables.
Par l'autre entrée, l'accÚs est fait à travers la porte en bas sur la rue, et confortables escaliers extérieurs vers le balcon.

L'appartement comprend un parking gratuit dans un garage Ă  50 mĂštres du bĂątiment

On offre des fruits frais et du vin du Porto pour consommation à l'arrivée sur place gratuitement.

Beautiful comfortable apartment tastefully decorated and well situated

Beautiful impeccable apartment which is well situated and within walking distance of the centre. Ideal for 4 as it has two bathrooms and large bedrooms. The furnishings are really lovely and very elegant. Our host Manuela was extremely helpful on our arrival and gave us many useful addresses. Some excellent restaurants nearby as well as two supermarkets. We really enjoyed our stay and would warmly recommend this appartment.

Superb, in the city-centre

Unforgettable! This apartment is great. Exquisite, spacious, comfortable, nothing is missing. The best location to live the atmosphere of the city centre, close to the metro, good restaurants. Jorge and Isabel are very special persons, very friendly gave us useful indications and advices to visit all the fantastic attractions that the city offers (and... at walking distance). Thanks for the Port wine and pasteis de nata :-) We strongly recommend!

Could not have been happier with this apartment. It is very big, and well decorated to the smallest of details. The location is great and very central. The host, Jorge, was extremely gracious and communicative. They left us wine, liquor, beer, fruit and spent a solid 10-15 minutes with us at arrival to mark up a map of “must see” and “must dine” places. All great recommendations. By far, the best experience I have had on VRBO.

Host was extremely welcoming, met us at the parking garage and walked us to the apartment. Once there, he spent an hour talking to us about Porto and gave dozens of recommendations on what to see, where to eat and how to get there. This was the very best home we've ever stayed in. There were more welcome amenities than usual (plenty of paper towels, even Kleenex, cotton swabs, snacks and drinks - wow!), making the entire stay feel luxurious, and almost like family. Manuela welcomed us personally with a detailed tour (very helpful), including a map and suggestions for local stops. She went above and beyond in every way. We highly recommend, and would stay at any of the properties of these owners. Thank you for your extra efforts, they were noticed and appreciated.

The apartment is very clean and is in a great location.Easy walking to shops and restaurants.The pictures are accurate description of the space.Except for the stairs it is very accommodating, and the host Manuela is very nice and helpful at check in with lots of suggestions for where to go and what to see. Manuela and Jorge's apartment was one of the most lovely places we've stayed in on VRBO. The location is on a quiet street within a block of a bakery/coffee shop and large grocery story. It is quiet but less than 5 minutes from all the action. The apartment itself is extremely clean, comfortable, well-stocked and set up perfectly with the bedrooms on opposites sides of the living room. It created a nice sense of privacy for our group of four. Manuela was very welcoming and brought wine and fruit on our arrival. I could go on, but previous reviews are absolutely correct. I will tell my friends/family traveling to Porto to stay here without hesitation. It is truly a perfect apartment!

We were looking forward to this location from the VRBO listing but I can tell you it did not disappoint. Every detail was attended to. The furnishings, the decor and the design was fabulous. We stayed here for 5 nights, (2 adults / 1 child) and had a wonderful experience right from the moment we met Manuela. She checked us in and gave us lots of information about the surrounding neighbourhood and Porto, which was very helpful. She also quickly responded to a few additional questions we had about Porto over the days we were staying there. The apartment is lovely, very clean, and very well equipped. Easy to feel comfortable staying here. Plus it has air conditioning, which is a huge bonus for Europe! I would highly recommend this apartment and we'll look to stay here again for our next trip to Porto.

Good, but.....

Overall, our stay at this apartment in Porto was fine. The apartment itself was as advertised, very clean and spacious. All the amenities of home were provided, including air conditioning. The Portugese welcome wine was a nice touch as well as the fruit basket and biscuits. The location of the apartment was good. We could easily walk to the pedestrian shopping street and many sites. The host, Jorge, was very pleasant and accommodating. He provided us with a map and suggestions for restaurants and sightseeing. However, when packing to depart we noticed that we were missing a silver necklace and ring, a pair of sandals and a bra. Based on previous reviews for this location, this was probably a one off incident. Jorge vouched for the honesty of his staff and claimed no one had access to the apartment while we were away. In hindsight, there was some physical evidence that someone had been in the apartment but we had not focused on it until we realized that items were missing. The issue was never resolved since we were headed out of town that morning. It did, unfortunately, put a damper on our stay in Porto.

3 nights in Porto at a wonderful 2 bedroom VROB. The unit was well appointed, exceptionally clean with a great location. The host could not have more hospitable with amentities and guidance to restaurants and must see sights!

Beautiful property close to a town square, with restaurants and groceries just steps away. Awaiting us when we came in out of a downpour was a bottle of wine, a bowl full of fruit, and hugs all around, followed by detailed suggestions by the host. The large apartment easily accommodated two couples.

Good location and parking

Manuela checked us in, meeting us at the parking garage and walking us over to the apartment. The parking garage is outside the restricted zone but maybe 50 m from the rental. The street is a bit bohemian with “working ladies” plying their trade out of a building across the street. Prostitution is legal in Portugal and they and their clients were no problem. The area is safe and an easy walk onto the main streets of central Porto. The apartement is as listed. Neither bedroom has ensuite bath, but the rooms are quite separate. Manuela was lovely :). We did have an issue with the stove top - a quartz hob. The discs once heated and turned off prevent you from using any other disc until the "H" for hot turns off. So, if you are cooking in, don't turn off your disc until you have everything cooked! If I could have given 4.5 stars, I would have - essentially 0.5 a star off as the apartment was a bit musty - BUT it rained the entire time we were in Porto, so I have no doubt that if we could have aired it, it would have been fine. :)

One of the best VRBO’s in 20 years

I’ve been renting VRBOs for over 20 years and this was the best supplied I’d ever encountered. There was every possible essential needed for our 12 day stay. We found it a perfect location from which to enjoy all of Porto. Manuela was an extremely supportive host. The check in was thorough, warm and friendly with lots of information to support a good understanding of Porto. We highly, highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous apartment in the center of Porto. The host was very kind and provided recommendations on where to have lunch, and left a bowl of fresh fruit and wine for our stay. We would love to come again and recommend it to everyone looking for a nice family vacation.

Wonderful Experience, Wonderful Owners

Jorge and Manuela were amazing hosts! We stayed as their guests for 5 weeks. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jorge who gave us a map with areas/restaurants/things to do marked. We were also greeted with champagne, wine, port, fresh fruits, and chocolates!The area was close to the city center, churches, Ribeira, Gaia (for port tastings), and the shopping areas, which was an ideal location for walking and exploring. We did not realize what a foodie area Porto was and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurants that you could walk to were amazing.This apartment was very spacious, especially by European standards, and exceptionally well stocked. Jorge and Manuela made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. We stayed for 5 weeks and they had the apartment cleaned every week which was so nice! The beds were very comfortable. Bedrooms are split providing privacy from each other. There are stairs as stated in the listing. Americans would do well to remember that in America (except NY as far as I know) we count the ground floor as 1. In Europe it is usually counted as 0. Therefore there were more stairs than we expected but they were easy to traverse. When we travel back to Porto, these owners would be our first choice of properties to return to visit. Their pride of ownership shows, not only in the property, but in the hospitality.Thank you Jorge and Manuela for making our stay so memorable!
