The house and property are not just BEAUTIFUL but the house is adorable and has so much character. Perfectly stocked with everything you need. We comfortably fit 12 adults!!! There is so much land to explore, and an awesome fire pit and hot tub. And the hosts are kind and so responsive. We want to come back in the summer!

Immediately upon arrival we felt welcomed into the home which was immaculate and well stocked with all we needed for our stay. The host responded quickly every single time we had a question and were readily available to help. The property was amazing even in the middle of the winter. We hiked the beautiful trails, went sleigh riding, used the fire pit, and the hot tub. The house easily accommodated our group of 9 ranging in age from 4-70. We are hoping to return at another time and thank you again to our hosts!

This property offered everything we could’ve wanted or needed. The fire pit and hot tub were fun to enjoy on a snowy day. The house was roomy enough for our family of 6 adults2 toddlers and 2 infants.

This wonderful house was very spacious and impeccably clean and well decorated and well stocked. The owners were super-responsive before and during our stay. The outdoor amenities (hot tub, fire pit, fire table on the upstairs deck, and especially the walking trails) really made this place special. Fantastic destination for a Fall getaway. Just a 10 minute drive from Williamstown MA and its restaurants and museums, while still being in a peaceful woodland setting.

We had a wonderful time at "the barn." It truly is a very clean, comfortable property. Our party of 6 thoughly enjoyed our stay in this large vacation home. The hot tub is clean, and so very relaxing. The hiking trails are very pretty. The entire rental process went very smoothly. Our host was extremely helpful and communicative from start to finish. This vacation home is so nice and accommodating, that our group has discussed renting it again for a second visit.

This is a beautiful space — inside and outside. It was perfect for our group — super clean, well stocked with everything we could need, great beds, ceiling fans in each room, efficient air conditioning, lots of extra linens and blankets, and so nicely decorated. We didn’t use the hot tub but plan to do so the next time. Our dog loved the gorgeous, private yard and the trail walks and our friends and we truly enjoyed the week we spent here. The host is amazingly responsive and so helpful. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home and location!

Such a beautiful house and serene location. It was perfect for a family gathering. Communication was great. Everything was clean and well-stocked. For instance, when I asked where the tea pot was, they dropped one off right away. The hosts were wonderful to deal with. The rooms are all big and bright and furnished in a nice style. It's not totally clear on the listing, but the first floor has a room with a twin day bed, joined by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom to a room with a queen bed. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a king and a bathroom that's near the room entrance and also accessible to the second bedroom upstairs. The second upstairs bedroom has a king with built-in bunk beds. There is a large upstairs living room/family room, and there is a recessed, dormered area with two twins, but it is not a separate room. If anyone has mobility concerns, they should be aware that the bottom five steps of the staircase that leads upstairs is open on the sides and does not have a railing. So people with mobility concerns should sleep on the main level.Just wanted to clarify the layout for future vacationers. Again, a very lovely property!

Wonderful getaway with the kids

The property was beautiful. The owners were responsive and helpful. There were 6 of us plus an infant. Plenty of normal amenities and supplies. We had an amazing time and will consider staying again in the future.

Girls weekend

This converted garage was a great retreat for our girls card weekend. Plenty of space for the 6 of us. Kitchen/lounge area was a great space and the warmth of the wood stove was great. Bedrooms were adorable and functional. Lofted living room was great to watch the football games on Sunday. Hot tub was working and was wonderful. Very quiet and rural area. Great place to get away.

Twins Turn Septuagenarians

A surprise weekend to celebrate the 70th birthdays of our twin brothers. Four siblings and their spouses spent three nights in this wonderful mountain retreat honoring the long lives we have shared together. While staying in the Baldwin home was comfortable and well-stocked, there was easy access to entertaining venues in Williamstown, Bennington and North Adams. Private and peaceful, Blackberry Steep was the perfect place to gather.

Amazing Holiday Stay

My extended family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at this home. It was spacious and comfortable, providing an amazing retreat in which to cook together, relax together, retreat and unwind. The home was well stocked with essentials and was a short drive from places to restock. It was a beautiful place to spend the holiday--with even a bit of snow to make it unforgettable.

Beautiful, family-friendly home

We stayed here with 4 adults, 2 kids and a baby and it was a wonderful stay. No issues or complaints whatsoever with anything. We were especially impressed by the huge amounts of children's books, toys and activities, our children were entertained for hours with the air-hockey table and toys -- it was hard to get them to want to go outside! But we greatly enjoyed the outdoor parts of the property, the fire pit, hammock and hot tub were a blast. Love the well-stocked kitchen, little smores kits the owner provided, along with many other thoughtful touches! Conveniently located to lots of fun places to go. Would love to rent again in the future.

Beautiful home in the forest.

Don’t let the unpaved roadways dissuade you. The approach to this wonderful home is in a lovely forest and when you enter the property you are in for an awesome stay. This a charming house on a beautiful property. Great open floor plan (on first and second floor) with super spaces to hang out with family and friends. Bedrooms were very good. Mattress in master bedroom was A+. Lovely porch balcony. Wonderful landscaping on balcony and outside. Members of our group loved the hot tub and hammock! Did not use the fire pit - but lots of new seating in yard. Large open property with abutting woods. Everything felt very fresh and new. Great appliances. Terrific communication with host. Very helpful before and throughout stay. They were very accommodating and welcoming. Would love to visit again!
