A wonderful property that was well situated within the old part of town, making it easy and convenient to walk to all the main sights or take the hop on hop off bus tours. Very clean with polite and professional staff. Would stay here again 100%

This was a highly rated hotel that was disappointing. We stayed 4 nights in August and the air conditioning was weak and inadequate. The room was warm throughout and uncomfortable to sleep in. I mentioned this to staff and there was nothing they can do. I was very pleased with breakfast however and it is very good. The beds were also comfortable and firm.

Hotel Essence was a fabulous base for our break. The hotel itself was in an excellent location to explore the city, no more than a 10 minute walk to the Old Town Square and less than 5 minutes to Wenceslas Square and the Metro. Our rooms were spotless as was the hotel in general, and the staff were super helpful when we had queries and couldn’t do enough for you. 5/5, we will definitely stay here again if we come back to Prague.

The experience is just terrible. In check in,they DIDNT tell us that the reservation doesn’t include breakfast. In fact the staff in check in Explicitly told us the breakfast timings. Over our days of staff we would go for breakfast, staff asks the room number and they NEVER mentioned that it is not included, again when we did the original online checkin, it stated the breakfast timings. On checkout we were asked to pay breakfast for three persons for threes days at 13 Euro per day per person. When asked no one told, not any stage, they should us a pre printed standard paper holder of the room card stating breakfast not included. Check out staff was super rude and condescending. Called her supervisor to deal with us who had no explanation for not informing us in the breakfast restaurant over several days that we have to pay (funny that we came aware of the price and having go pay 110 Euro only at checkout)

I can’t say more good words about this hotel. It’s centrally located but not directly on the busy streets, it’s quiet at night but close to so many restaurants and the old town. Room is spacious, they give me the top floor with amazing view. Bedding is comfy and clean, breakfast included is very good too, I highly recommend.

The thermostat controlled the temperature very accurately, but the cool air blows directly at the bed, which can make it feel pretty drafty. The bed was very comfortable. There were sometimes some food smells from the first floor restaurant. The ventilation fan in the bathroom is very weak, so the smells linger...
