"Double Booked" and Money Wasted
The house has beautiful views and easily accessible to the beach, but...we had unwanted visitors and spent money and wasted money, which was not in our plans for the weekend.
1. We quickly realized that the air had not been turned on for our arrival, so it was very hot. Even with the air running, some areas of the house never got cooled down.
2. Upon entering we saw dead and alive roaches. We had to go into town and buy poison, we got a collection of over 20 dead roaches at one point, with others continuing to come out throughout our stay.
3. We noticed ants the night we first got there and strategically placed the groceries we had just bought. Next day, ants everywhere, ruined our food. They never quite left even after WE bought poison and cleaned.
4. Broken fridge. It didnât seem to quite get cold and it ended up spoiling some of our food. It seemed to be working upon us leaving, maybe an intermittent problem.
5. Broken bed. It was held up by two wood pieces, not secure at all.
6. Other inconveniences that would have been completely overlooked, but due to all the issues, I figured I might as well list them: sliding door leading outside very difficult to open, the water was turned off with no instruction on how to turn it on. Hot water had to be figured.
Time spent driving to town, spraying, cleaning, and disinfecting, all the wasted money from a broken fridge and bugs made this very disappointing. Requested partial refund, no response :(
