Pluses and minuses
Publié le 5 févr. 2024 sur HotelsWhile I left my thoughts directly with the staff, and while I think this property is incredible, unique, and appealing in many ways, in light of all the accolades in other reviews this far, I thought it might be worthwhile to point out a few things for other potential guests to be aware of. If you are an aged person or have any sort of physical disability at all, be mindful that to leave this property it is near the top of a very steep hill. I would select a room on the ground level, too. Rooms adjacent to a pool area will be loud simply with guests conversations. If you're more of a morning person and like to get to bed earlier, the live music in the dining room didn't end early. It is a very old building filled with religious artifacts and art if that matters to you. I can't speak for all rooms, but our room had a very old mattress that was excruciatingly uncomfortable- for this reason alone I would not return for a stay as we both tossed and turned all night and got a horrible sleep. It was once a pillow top, but the pillow long ago deflated. If I were judging the hotel's value based on the atmosphere, beauty, upkeep and service alone, I would say it's fair. But the horrible mattress and terrible night's sleep (a hotel's ultimate job) was so bad that I couldn't bare to stay there another night. Given the prices of a stay, a quality mattress shouldn't be an issue.

I love the detail as it gives me specific reasons and issues to be able to address them. Our mattresses are not that old and I also have other mattress toppers to offer. So many people have praises or complaints that it is hard to have a mattress for everyone. But I am so sorry that if you raised your concern my staff did not take steps to make you more comfortable. I assume we had other rooms and beds or a mattress topper to offer you. I will look into it and I thank you again for your sharing. Wishing you smooth travels.

Ripoff
Publié le 1 janv. 2024 sur HotelsThis please is a ripoff for the price they charged and what they offered. The rooms are basic, broken fixtures, old grave condition linens and little privacy. Location is difficult to get to by car since it is locating on a narrow street up on the hill behind the church. Staff were not enthusiastic, breakfast was just coffee and fruits. I would not recommend paying US$970+ to stay here per night.

I am so sorry. What you described it now what is usually experienced here. That sounds awful. I appreciate that you gave us a try and shared your experience so that I can look into it. The only thing that sounds familiar and correct is the location up on a hill. My staff are usually very pampering and attentive so I feel terrible that was not your experience. This is indeed an old building furnished with antiques and things to break from time to time but my linens are imported and luxury linens so again I will see if I can find out more from my staff. I am so sorry you felt ripped off!

Hacienda San Angel was beautiful, staff was friendly and attentive. The grounds were clean, room service and housekeeping was great. We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Hacienda San Angel! The room was incredible with beautiful views of PV. The staff was wonderful! We dined at their restaurant and the service, entertainment, and dinner was great. The food was delicious! We also did a tequila tasting and Alex. He was very knowledgeable about tequila. We also enjoyed the small bites prepared at the the restaurants that complimented the different tequilas we tasted. We can’t wait to return!

Hacienda is a Historical Gem in Puerto Vallarta

The entire staff was so kind and welcoming. We stayed here for 3 nights and we wish we stayed longer. The beauty of the estate was absolutely breathtaking and you will feel like it is your home. Our room had a view of the Cathedral which was absolutely gorgeous. The pools, the grounds, the restaurant are impeccable. Make sure you have dinner at their restaurant as the food and service are top notch. The Malecon is a very short 2 minute walk which we loved. Make sure you wear sneakers as there are cobblestone streets and stairs. I can not recommend this boutique hotel enough. 5 stars all the way. We will be back!!
