Affordable & Adorable 2 Bdrm ground level condo near the beach, shopping, & more
Arenas de Bavaro, located in El Cortecito is within a 5-7 minute walk to Bavaro Beach and Los Corales, Punta Cana. This beautiful ground level, open floor 2 bedroom and 2 bath condo with a beautiful pool view has two patios and is ready for you to enjoy and sleeps 5 comfortably. Walking distance to El Cortecito restaurants, pharmacies, large outdoor market where you can find everything from deep sea fishing, swimming the dolphins excursions, to hand made arts and crafts. Famous Playa Turquesa is also within 5 minutes of the condo with shops, bakeries, coffee and more
Please note in an effort to conserve energy, as with most vacation rentals in Punta Cana, electricity is charged separately based on your consumption during your stay. The average cost will normally vary between US$2 and US$10 per day, but could fall outside this range, depending on your usage and can be self monitored daily. The electricity meter will be read at check-in and check-out and will be charged separately on your credit card via VRBO
The unit had a few issues with the sliding door(very hard to open and close. Locking up both sliding doors was very difficult. The cupboards were very messy. There was no coffee pot (had to boil water and use instant coffee.) The washing machine scared me because it was shaking so hard that I thought it was going to fly out the window. The pool wasnât clean all the time and kids were in the pool most of the time, and very loud., plus a baby would be in the pool with no diaper on. Otherwise guests were friendly.I would rent again if it was adults only. And also you have to get rid of the rooster that wakes you up every morning at 5am. That was very annoying.
Overall, I will say my stay was good. The property sits in walking distance to many restaurants and souvenir shops. This is not a resort. Inside the gate is very clean but as soon as you walk down the street, you are met with a lot of trash that is not anything the property can control. The property comes with dishes and ways to cook but the grocery store is not close. The only person who speaks English at the complex is the person who gave us the key. There isnt a reception area so when I had an emergency, I had no help.
The place is super safe weâll equipped and great neighbors
Quite at night and clean
The only issue was the foul sulfur smell coming off the water pipes which seems to be an issue with other renters in the complex
We solved some how by lightning some aromatic candles and keeping the laundry room door closed
Itâs seems to be an issue around the community water system NOT the building owners fault
Otherwise super SAFE and Clean great kitchen ware and appliances
There is a small market called Amarillo who has great local prices just down the street
Nice condo in convenient location. We were not there for the beach so that wasnât a factor. Bring your own supplies. There is no hair dryer, paper towels, soap, salt and pepper, etc. which are items you would normally expect to be provided. Refrigerator gets cold quick which is good. Some of the windows and sliders donât lock easily.
The property was very well kept, felt very safe and secure with security working the gated community 24/7. The condo itself met our expectations, if we needed anything (like more drinking water) Gregory was quick to respond with any needs that we had. The ocean was about a 10-14min walk from our location with lots of restaurants, shops and markets near by.
The condo was as stated in the ad - affordable and well maintained. For those looking to book in the near future, our experience was that the area of Punta Cana, as well as staff and guests of the property, take COVID and masking very seriously. While our trip was the last week of December into the new year, the country was changing some of the COVID curfews and rules throughout the week, and as restaurants were closed to indoor dining, we enjoyed eating take-out on the patio (though were underwhelmed by the dining options) . Our main disappointment was that, as Punta Cana is a major resort town, we were surprised by how long it actually look us to get to the beach. The public beach entrance is not well marked and the 10 minute walk mentioned, only gets you to the start of the beach, at which point you have continue walking to find a nice spot that isn't in front of a resort. The condo did have chairs and a beach blanket not advertised, that we were able to use and there is plenty of shade by the palm trees making an umbrella unnecessary in our opinion. We found a great little sandwich/juice/fresh fruit tienda at the beach entrance and really liked the food at Casa del Vino . Don't expect a 'short walk to the beach' - prepare to go to the beach and bring everything with you and you will be sure to enjoy it.
We loved this condo. Was just the right size, very clean, included all the amenities. Great layout. Really loved the ground level, accessible to the pool... coffee and cocktails on the balcony overlooking the pool and well kept courtyard.... we would definitely come back and stay here again!
