I hated to give this place a 1 star review but unfortunately we experienced the staff scamming us on our last day and that turns any review 1 star. Said he will not provide us for shadow if he did not book them. So we booked an airport transfer shuttle through Expedia. Our shadow was supposed to arrive at 11 AM and last day take us back to the airport. we were still waiting at 11:50 called the shuttle service and they said security refused to let them. We questioned the bellhops and they changed their story 3 times. Later we found out this resort has been having an issue where they do this then force you to pay for a taxi which they get commission on from The taxi company. They told us credit is fine to pay. At the airport the driver said cash only so i had to then find an atm. We nearly missed our flight.

Very clean and family friendly. The buffet has lots of options for every pallet. Waiters for drinks and meals at the pools and the beach. Activities for adults and kids all throughout the day. Beaches were cleaned and groomed and guarded. I felt safe

The hotel layout is perfect for a family vacation, allowing for different ages to enjoy the day together. The main pool has the deeper end with a bar where adults hang out, but it’s connected to the kids pool which has the big bubble where my 6 year old wanted to jump and slide all day long. Right next to this pool is the toddler pool, with a much smaller bubble which was a hit with my 2 year old twins. These pools are also right next to the beach and food trucks, making everything super convenient. Grounds are immaculately maintained. We were there for NYE and even though the hotel was full, we were always able to find chars, daybeds and plenty of fresh towels. Food is average.

I won’t go into excessive detail, but it’s important to set realistic expectations. We chose The Finest based on its branding and pricing as a five-star luxury resort. While the property has some positive aspects, our experience did not align with five-star standards, particularly in dining, service, and attention to detail. The food was underwhelming. Despite multiple restaurants, menus lacked variety, with identical desserts across venues. The buffet was average and comparable to standard all-inclusive resorts. Service felt mostly reactive rather than proactive. We also experienced an issue with a tour booked through a company the hotel works with; while it is a third-party service, the hotel did not actively assist in resolving the situation, which took longer than expected. Additionally, our room had a persistent shower leak that required towels on the floor daily—an issue that should not occur at this price point. This resort may suit travelers seeking a mid-range all-inclusive, but those expecting a true five-star experience may be disappointed

We had an excellent stay at this hotel for New Year’s Eve. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making our stay feel special and relaxing. The atmosphere during New Year’s was festive yet elegant, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The location was also perfect, making everything easily accessible. We truly felt taken care of and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and high-quality stay. We look forward to coming back!

The pools and resort upkeep were great. The staff were hit or miss - considerable amount of staff had difficulty communicating in English, I visited finest in Cancun and the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff in this location doesn’t compare. There were a couple of exceptions but by and large the staff service was not inspiring. The food was disappointing. In the Mercato while there was great quantity the quality, flavor and presentation was poor. The a lacarte restaurants were hit or miss. The French restaurant was embarrassing - we couldn’t get past the appetizers as the lobster served was like a piece of rubber and the so called fois gras when we did find the tiny spec in the midst of layers of greenery wasn’t even enough for me to determine if it was food gras. Surf and Turf was by far the best restaurant but it’s only opened 3 days a week. It feels like Finest has been cutting corners when I compare to my experience in finest in Cancun.
