The pools and resort upkeep were great. The staff were hit or miss - considerable amount of staff had difficulty communicating in English, I visited finest in Cancun and the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff in this location doesn’t compare. There were a couple of exceptions but by and large the staff service was not inspiring. The food was disappointing. In the Mercato while there was great quantity the quality, flavor and presentation was poor. The a lacarte restaurants were hit or miss. The French restaurant was embarrassing - we couldn’t get past the appetizers as the lobster served was like a piece of rubber and the so called fois gras when we did find the tiny spec in the midst of layers of greenery wasn’t even enough for me to determine if it was food gras. Surf and Turf was by far the best restaurant but it’s only opened 3 days a week. It feels like Finest has been cutting corners when I compare to my experience in finest in Cancun.

the resort is very good and modern but my daughter Stephanie and her family has lots of issues with their room. they had to change and the second room had huge leaks that the Hotel could not fix totally. Moreover, we asked lots of time for towels, pillows and more and nothing got done in time. it was painful. the resort is amazing for the kids of course.

Staff were all fantastic!! Especially want to thank Lelena at breakfast and lunch buffet. Always having a table and welcoming us everyday. Yeytson at the beach reserving chairs for all of us everyday and bringing us drinks. One thing that should be improved is the dinner reservations. When we checked in they said it was first come first serve but it was a different story once we went to eat at one of the specialty restaurants. Apparently, reservations can be made for every night from the lobby desk. I recommend even booking ahead of the trip so that you can get the Japanese hibachi. All in all it was a great trip.

The facility is new and nice. The resort has many restaurants but most of them has suboptimal of food. Not taking reservation is also not a great idea IMHO. The same brand hotel in Cancun allows me to order anything from room service, but this one has limited items. When I asked for a diet coca with my lunch, they asked me to call mini bar separately...

A resort named Finest should reflect excellence. Unfortunately, our experience was among the poorest we have encountered. While the property itself is attractive, the front desk staff and overall customer service were severely lacking. For a resort that markets itself as 5-star, the absence of basic customer empathy, accountability, and follow-through was shocking. Our issues began at check-in. We booked through Expedia and were told we would receive a room upgrade. Instead, we were given worse accommodations—one king room and one double room instead of the two king rooms originally booked. For three consecutive days, I complained because I did not receive basic housekeeping services, i.e. room cleaning and duvet covers. Each day I was assured the issues would be addressed. They were not. By the third day, nothing had been done. This level of neglect is unacceptable for a 5-star resort. I asked to speak with a supervisor on two of those days. Promises were made to resolve the issues, but they proved largely empty—some items were partially addressed, others ignored entirely. I then requested to speak with a manager and was told someone would contact me. No manager ever did. By day four, I stopped trying. To be fair, Javier and Jeremi from the activities team were exceptional. They treated our family with warmth and professionalism and were the highlight of our stay. Based on our experience, this will be our last visit to this property and any Finest/Excellence resort!

Service was incredible, very well maintained resort, house keeping comes twice a day. Beach is cleared daily for seaweed. Food was excellent. You can go to à la cart every night however no reservations can be way can be made as sometimes there is a half hour to 45 minute wait recommend to get ready a bit earlier. I went second week of December and found that the beach was very clean. Weather was grade 27/ 28 degrees every day however we did find the ocean a little bit with currents.& choppy waters. Would come back again and recommend the hotel to anyone.

Great stay. Spa staff (reception in particular) and club staff - Alberto at the bar and Aleksia (spelling might be wrong) at the check in/services desk were particularly wonderful. The food was great, amenities as well - we liked the spa, coffee shop, and beach. We’ll be back.

The resort property was beautiful. Our rooms were great. Beach and pool were outstanding. The service was good. The food was terrible. We survived on the fresh made pizza from the food truck. The food in the restaurants we ate in was mostly inedible.
