Not 5 star luxury hotel, this was a 3 star. Most of the staff are unhappy and unwilling to serve/help or just plain do their job. Customer service is not their priority. Upon check in, it would have been nice to be given information on the grounds, a map, events that are happening, what sister hotels we can visit, how to make dinner reservations, etc.
Hotel was also not recently renovated as described on Expedia. Many areas of the room need renovations. Many of the pool/ bath towels had stains and holes. Smelly blankets and pillows that needed to be switched out. Not an all inclusive 5 star hotel as coronas and basic domestic/international beers are $5 each. I did not see any name brand liquor at any bars that didn’t require a up-charge. Also, extremely disappointing that they allow guests to wake up at 6am (which I will not do while on vacation trying to relax) to go claim all the beach and pool chairs by placing towels all over them. Many chairs were taken all day by these “towels” but no one using them. There should be designated staff providing towels and walking the guests to a pool or beach chair. This would avoid people claiming chairs in both areas in the case they decide to go to one vs the other.
The hotel grounds were beautiful but the lack of service/poor attitude from most of the staff made overlooking certain short-comings worse. With so many resort options, I can confidently say I have no reason to ever go back to this one.
