Bathroom shower ceiling was dripping water and about to collapse. There was no free room service when we got there. When I booked they had offered free room service. Bed was hard, tv was gona fall off the wall, and our ac broke for a night and half a day until it started to work again. The restaurant food was 2 out of 10. Most food came out cold and the ribs were hard a heck. I will not be returning to this resort.

The supervisor of security, Leonardo is a very violent man and seems to be drunk at work. I was assaulted by him and i have checked now other conplaints about the awcurity at this Occidental hotel which makea mr realize this is a very unsafe place to visit. Women are harrased by the employees and the secueity guards are rude to the guests

Food is hit or miss but what really keeps me away from this hotel is how unsafe it is. You can hear and see the staff harrass their female guests and the supervisor of security at night has an attitude problem. He acts very violent to the point of assaulting me qhen Ibwas not able to confirm my room number becuase I had 3 reaervations and was trying to stay one more night. The supervisor of security instead of checking my passport to verify my identity broke my bracelet amd said he would call the police. I begged them to please call the police as I did not feel safe with him hitting me whan I am a paying customer. Instead of calling the police or a taxi, he put me in a little train and left mw in the middle of boahwere qhere I was robbed. I will be submitting a report soo. As I had to fly next day early. I am an USA with dual citizen who was attacked and abussed by someone going in a power trip

I am Typicalelliott and I need the cameras in the lobby bar to be reviewed becaused I was pushed by the security guard SUPERVISOR who loooked to be under the influences of alcohol or drugs, very hostile even when I I explained That I had 3 differents rooms reserved and 2 different hotels as I am that type of person who and agent reserves for me. He targetted me because of my darker skjn and physically assaulted me. If this had happened in the United states I would be sueing them and I will look fpkr legal advice about it. Funny fact I was there inthe uniguratiin when Occidental was purchased by Barcelo and thia ruined yeats of great memories including my honey moon. This perso needs to be drug tested and if found under the use if illegal substa ce during his work schedule then be fired. He assaulted me. Find me online or I w8lp make this public. This is not legal

Rooms were well maintained, cleaned daily and fridge was always fully stocked. The pools were fantastic; there was always a place to sit. The Beach was beautiful, but you have to get there early to secure a chair. The food was amazing. Breakfast not so much, but lunch and dinner were really good. We had no problems navigating the resort and there are little shuttles to shuttle you around if needed. I would recommend. I would go back.

I visited Occidental just recently and check in and everything was great. The poolside games were fun and staff was phenomenal. However, cleaning and food was more on the 3 star side. Upon arrival, the room was clean but it still had some dust particles not fully clean and it was like some was left after cleaning. The first couple of days they only had big towels and only one body towel. No towel to put on the floor and wash with.

Room was adequate, staff service was terrible. It took staff 2 days and after several requests to replace batteries in TV remote, we asked several times over 4 days for hand towels and wash cloths. Our phone handset never worked and they never tried to replace it.One afternoon We came back to the room and there were no towels for our shower, we had to go to the front desk to get towels delivered We set up a birthday celebration for my granddaughter to include ballon’s and cake. When it wasn’t done we checked the next morning and the told us it wasn’t there because we were 1 hour late which was an outright lie, Reservations were for 7:00 PM and we were there exactly on time. Staff attitude was not helpful. Food and pool activities were good but music was too loud in main pool

Beautiful ocean view Suite with jacuzzi tub on our balcony. It was amazing! Excellent service from all staff, maids, bartenders and waiters and waitresses. Our concierge Esteban was outstanding and so on top of the details that made our stay magical. Esteban covered everything from al-a-carte restaurant reservations to our entrance tour to bell hop booking for pickup at exit. Esteban stood out and I would hire him for my own business. He was in daily contact and was so polite and knowledgeable. Thank you Esteban and Occidental Punta cana for a wonderful stay.

This was a lower price than what I usually pay but thought I would try a cheaper resort from the one I stayed at in August. The rooms were spacious, I think the food was actually better than the higher priced resort from August. The air worked really well in all the restaurant's, nice pools and beach area. All together, we were pleased. So what do you give up at a cheaper resort? 1. No umbrella's on the beach. (may not seem like a big deal until you would like to have one) 2. No waitress's on the beach. I guess that saves the resort money as if you have to get up, you are less likely to drink as much. Again, not a big deal until you want it. 3. The biggest one for us. They do not have snacks. Sometimes you just want a snack and there are none. The other resort walked around with carts of snacks. Again, not a big deal until you get an afternoon craving. 4. Room service was very slow but they could have been busy so no big deal. 5. The worst thing that happened, my wife was blow drying here hair and stepped on the cord and it literally shocked her making her lose her balance falling and hitting her head on the wall. Someone had repaired the cord but did a very poor job of it leaving a wire exposed. It took 2 phone calls and 2 visits consisting of 2 days to get this fixed. It could happen anywhere so just beware. While I would have enjoyed the first three things, it is not a deal breaker for me. If I go back, I know to take snacks. Steavens Gourgue was great and helped so much

When it came time for me to leave I had to order myself a taxi because yall couldn’t take care of a simple reservation. I will never use Expedia again due to that. Shuttle service was included and I had to pay extra just to get to the airport
