Went with my family and we got some stomach virus. Could pinpoint if the drink they made was done with proper water. I have virgin mojito and I had to do the bathroom after meals. Not sure if a ecoli virus was broken out.

The facilities were top notch. However the food was sub par at best. No accommodations for gluten free diet. I just did without food a lot of the time while the rest of my party was able to eat what they wanted. Very disappointing

The cleanliness and the staff are excellent; however, there are things like the elevator floors, which were worn and damaged, and some paint details on the walls and on the exterior part of the hotel. I don’t know if they overbook, but there is an enormous number of guests. Despite that, the staff makes a huge effort and attends quite quickly. There was only one incident at the French restaurant where we waited more than an hour to get in. The person in charge of receiving guests and assigning tables was a bit rude, and since we were a group of seven, it seemed like we were left for last. I feel that this was not managed well, and perhaps people who arrived after us were seated first. In addition, we ordered five desserts and only two were brought to us, so we left because the delay was enormous and the rest never arrived — that was at the Krystal restaurant.

Very good hotel in resume. Great and spacious two bedroom for a family of 5. Clean and pretty new or refurbished room. Some issues with housekeeping like leaving 2 towels for 5 people twice or empty containers for shampoo and conditioner. Nothing very important but makes you have to call reception several times on several days to ask for missing basic things. Perimeses are well maintained. Nice beach with plenty of sun loungers. Used the diving services on site with excellent services. Water park is free and a great plus when traveling with young children.

The grounds were so beautiful and very well kept! The staff were always cleaning yet not intrusive. They had so many activities and food options. The room was spacious abd clean as well. Have a problem with shower pressure but they fixed next day! Beach and pools were beautiful and well kept. The only thing i wished they didnt have was Elite Club upgrade. All-inclusive shoud be same for all guests.

Room and location was perfect. Christian, the affairs hotel manager helped out to resolve an issue professionally and decisively. Level of professionalism was 5 stars all around, with staff, airport pick up driver and management.

The place was beautiful the rooms were clean and very well done. The staff at the hotel were wonderful always acommadating. The restaurant food was wonderful everyone was so helpful. I would definitely come back here for another vacation. Thanks RIU Bavaro for a wonderful experience.

The staff is great. The pools and grounds are amazing and well kept along with the rooms. The downside is the food it could be better. They no longer have a omelette station at the breakfast buffet and the Agave needs much improvement. The Elite bar is a very nice addition but does not serve a very good grade of wine as is the case throughout the resort. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and plan to return .

We stayed for 5 days and the room and parties were great however the staff was probably the worst I’ve experienced at any RIU. Not only did the hotel cleaning mix 7up with our open water when she cleaned the room to not “waste It” but the staff harassed my fiancée countless times about not speaking Spanish and tried to charge us 250 for wanting our wrist band removed to be tightened so It does not get lost. None the less we got engaged on the resort but to this specific location I’d avoid. All the RIUs meet at one location for the parties anyway and you’d probably get better service elsewhere with less attitude.

Overall good food, beach and decent entertainment. But lots to improve on. ❌ Our double bedroom family suite should have had two bathrooms and only had one. If this is the case it should be made clear on booking. The cleaning of the room and the resort was almost immaculate. Some weird things though like a broken glass from a staff member was left in the hallway for a few hours. The renos were great and the resort feels fresh. Only saw one major issue which was a overhead leak in the gym. ❌ Total failure of the kids club. 10-1 and 3-6 but only if they care to open on time or show up at all. One day no one even opened the club. Don't get me wrong - we only wanted them in briefly on a couple of days (like 2 hours) so we weren't relying on it but it was NOT reliable even for that. And then we asked them to not show TV to our kids (who were the only ones there that day.) but they still did!! Definitely can't be relied on if you need to do an excursion. ❌ Failure of fitness classes. No shows multiple times of instructors. Class is only 20 mins instead of 30. It's disgraceful. Just don't bother if there is no one to run it. ✅ Fun splash pad and beautiful beach. Waterpark needed updating and ❌ some safety issues in the kids section. ✅ Buffet had good selection of food and mostly fresh and well cooked. ✅ Excellent service at restaurants, especially the steak house. EXCEPT horrible slow slow slow service on Feb 1st at Krystal. ❌ We waited 90 mins without getting dessert, asking 3 peop

Clean rooms and facilities. Polite people food was good. Female bartender in the lobby should be replaced. Not friendly, not polite. Give the appearance of being quite rude at times. A poor image for your place.

Clean rooms, beautiful resort. Complimentary Expedia transports were a great surprise! Only complaint is that some of the hotel workers were making fun of guests in Spanish thinking we couldn’t understand them. It was only two girls from the coffee shop. All other waiters, bartenders and housekeepers were great!
