Quite a nice classic style hotel. Makes you feel in the environment of the 19th century but with good wifi. Take note that there are a bit of stairs to climb and if you do not mind this, like me, it is a great choice. Good breakfast with a waiter that made his best to speak Spanish with me.

Location was good. Beds were comfy. Customer service poor. Barely any lighting in the room. Carpets were dirty. No/ poor unreliable front desk service. No elevator.

You get what you pay for, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so dingy. The basic rooms were down a narrow, dark, dirty hallway with keys that barely worked. The walls were chipped and discoloured. The bathroom had other people’s toothpaste on the counter and dust on the mouldings and ceilings. The beds WERE very clean and comfortable though. When I reached out to the office to try and upgrade, I got no response. The one saving grace - the amazing free breakfast in the restaurant next door - delicious and excellent, friendly service.

À Ă©viter absolument – trĂšs mauvaise expĂ©rience Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs déçus par notre sĂ©jour. L’endroit est extrĂȘmement poussiĂ©reux, avec des toiles d’araignĂ©es dans les coins des murs. La moquette de l’escalier dĂ©gage une forte odeur de vieux, et les espaces communs sont mal aĂ©rĂ©s, remplis de vieux meubles entreposĂ©s un peu partout. La rĂ©ception se trouve dans un autre immeuble, ce qui n’est pas pratique, et le personnel n’était pas accueillant. Nous avions rĂ©servĂ© deux nuits avec petit-dĂ©jeuner inclus au restaurant SagamitĂ©, mais une fois sur place, on nous a informĂ©s que nous n’aurions droit qu’à un seul dĂ©jeuner sous prĂ©texte que le lundi de PĂąques, le restaurant Ă©tait fermĂ©. Pourtant, nous avions payĂ© pour deux. C’est inacceptable et malhonnĂȘte. Le seul point positif : le lit et les draps Ă©taient corrects. Pour le reste, c’était la pire expĂ©rience de voyage que nous ayons eue.

I would include several feedback here, but the most important point is the lack of service and reliability. My experience has not been good. The main complaint is that booking was made for 6 days with breakfast included. Breakfast was not included on one of the days, and the restaurant assured us that the hotel will issue a refund. I spoke to the person at the front, and she assured me that I would receive a $25 refund for the breakfast for my family that day. So far, no refund has been received. I have contacted the hotel two times, and I have not received an answer from them. Very disappointing. I am trying to find a solution via Expedia, since the booking was made through them, and they are telling me to deal with the hotel directly. Very disappointing from Expedia as well.

For a last minute booking on a busy night, the room was decent. I had a room on the first floor, but had to go through hallways, up and short flights of stairs to get there. The room is at the same level of the parking area with the window facing the parking. The room is cute, basic with plenty of floor space around the bed. Bathroom is very small with just a walk-in shower and toilet. Sink is in the bedroom area. Shower is small and full of black mold. Floor of the bathroom you can tell was cleaned, but rather hastily leaving hairs in the corners and on the baseboards. Deadbolt on the main door did not work, the doorknob is self locking when closed but would rather have the added safety of the deadbolt to lock as well. Being a very old building and on the ground floor, it was a bit noisy. You can hear sounds from the neighbouring rooms as well as the water flowing when toilets are flushed etc. Luckily I had ear plugs with me which muted the noises and allowed me to sleep well enough. All white bedding and towels, bedsheets were clean and bright white, the duvet and towels did have a few small stains. Heating was comfortable, though to increase the heat it could take 40minutes to feel a difference.

The overall rating was poor. Primarily, the staff was unavailable. Finding parking was extremely difficult, and the parking staff did not speak English; the closest parking did not provide tickets but asked for a credit card to get in for later, finding no spots available and asking for a CC again to get out. Hotel wifi did not work, and phone service calls with staff always ended up in voice mail. No invoices were issued after checkout :( Quebec City was great for Christmas, though.
