Rooms were great. Clean and spacious enough for our needs. The beds are showing their age though and are a bit uncomfortable but not enough to make the stay unbearable. The laundry facilities were a definite plus!!

The view from the suite is gorgeous! The big window panes are spotless and we enjoyed sitting in the spacious living room looking out to the lake and mountains. A short walk into town and Queenstown Gardens. I would definitely stay here again in future trips.

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon. After reading reviews about the room we originally booked, we contacted the hotel directly via e-mail to ensure that they knew that the trip was for an important occasion for us and everything could be perfectly kept. They offered a room upgrade and we accepted. Our stay was overall satisfactory, they gave us brownies to welcome us which was nice. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view, however there are things that were a bit disappointing for us. The “continental breakfast” that is included was a jar of cereals, some bread left in the fridge, an orange juice, a yogurt and some mini spreads and some amenities such as tea and coffee sachets. That is really not something that someone expects when they booked an accomodation that says “breakfast included”. Also, they advertise the place with a “nearby” gym facility. The gym is a 20min walk to town and you have to pay a $23 dollar fee PER DAY. We were gutted when we heard that as we did not find this information anywhere prior to booking the hotel. The staff was super friendly, I think this is mostly a management and marketing issue than anything else.

The space is very nice and the view is great, but be advised it overlooks a very busy road so it’s not really restful. Also, the walls are thin and I could hear the people next to me talking at 2am. Great otherwise though!

Apartment itself was great, spacious and the view fabulous. However, communication was poor - they took 4 days to respond to my email. The rubbish area was overflowing, that was disgraceful in a pretty pricey establishment. Finally, there was no Sky TV. Every other place we stayed in New Zealand provided Sky, so that was poor also.

We booked a lake-view studio but unfortunately ended up with a hedge view instead; at least until our last morning, when the hedge was removed at around 8:30am! The room itself was spacious but quite dated, with décor that hasn’t been refreshed in some time. The price seems to reflect the room size rather than the overall experience. It was also a bit surprising to find that, although each room has an allocated parking space, there’s an additional fee to use it. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly, everything was clean, and the location is excellent.

Strangers walked into our room in the middle of the night so that sucked. Blind was broken so all the foot traffic from the reception could see me and wasn’t private. Very loud. You can hear everyone next door talking like they were in the room with you. No black out blinds and it gets bright very early in the morning. Paid parking yet the parking is apartment specific so why it’s not included doesn’t make sense.
