Nice area. Close to Duke, downtown and highways. Room was clean and comfortable.

Sad to say this property is beautiful yet filthy. The bathroom had so much mold around the tub and the sink. Trash littered the hallways. There were even dirty Q-tips in the hallways. The lights were out from the second floor to the ground floor in the stairwell. One of the elevators was out of order. You could smell weed on the first and fourth floor. Such a shame for such a beautiful facility. The hall carpets had large bleach stains on the patterned carpet. I will never return.

Kelly, it's disheartening to hear of your experience. Maintaining cleanliness is a priority, it appears we missed the mark in certain areas during your visit. We're also aware of the concerns with lighting and elevator functionality, and are taking steps to address this. Concerning the uninvited odors, we're committed to offering a comfortable environment and we'll review our enforcement procedures. Lastly, we're working on refurbishment plans which include updating our carpets. We hope you would reconsider your decision and give us another opportunity to serve you better in the future.

The property was perfect for a short stay and very close to Duke and even not far from UNC.

Avoid, regardless of price

Every aspect of this run-down hotel is filthy. Stained carpeting every 10-feet, poor lighting, food debris at every turn, off putting odors in hallways and lobby, guests smoking weed/pot in guest rooms. Front desk attendant unpleasant and more focused on boyfriend than guests. Complete filth. Stay clear.
