We loved everything about this vacation. House was perfect! We were able to do a beautiful hike to start off the week over in Carrabassett Valley. We were able to see some Moose on our ATV tour through the mountains. Our time on the lake and at the lake house was fabulous. The boat rental company And JetSki rental were reasonable. Ending every single day with a fire on the lake was just what I needed
The property location is great, but the home itself as previously reviewed had little character and was poorly stocked. Given the details stating it 'sleeps 10', there were not sufficient glasses, mugs, or other basics for 10 people. The cleaning products provided and bath items were scant. The entire ground floor is a converted basement housing "3 bedrooms" yet one is more of a windowless room without and closet, and one bed is actually in the laundry room! I cannot see how this can accurately be described as sleeping more than 8. We had several issues with the property that were quickly addressed by the property managment company, with the exception of the hot water, which we went without for the last 24+ hours of our stay. On the other hand we loved the area, Rangeley, and hiking Bald mountain. we made the most of our trip on the beautiful lake with trips to Downtown Rangeley and Oquossic.

Wonderful
The house is great overall. We had a wonderful time. The house doesn't have much personality, but it's large with multiple bedrooms and plenty of space. The dock is awesome. We spent essentially the entire week on it! However, the bottom is not sandy, as indicated in the house summary. It's actually a little difficult to get into the water if you chose to walk in vs use the ladder on the dock - the slope of the land heading in to the water is rocky (large loose pebbles/rocks) and steep right before entering the water which resulted in the rocks slipping out from under our feet. Would recommend water shoes. Bring trash bags, extra toilet paper, paper towels/napkins, lobster pot, lobster crackers, dish soap/sponge etc. as the cupboards are bare/minimal.That being said, it's a great place and I'd highly recommend it for a family.
