Bob is outstanding host and my wife enjoyed the shopping experience.

Publié le 8 janv. 2024 sur HotelsThe Rocking Horse Inn was a fantastic stay. The host is super friendly and accommodating. He kept out snacks, drinks, fruit the entire time I was there. It is a wonderfully curated turn of the century home with beautiful antiques. (Which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I certainly appreciated them.) I will be returning to the area and definitely will rebook with the Rocking Horse Inn.

Charming Old Home With A Great Proprietor

This older home is loaded with charm, is very comfortable and Bob is so nice and hospitable. They offering of snacks and beverages is beyond generous and the breakfast was perfect to cap our stay. Thank you Bob! We'll be backnthe next time we are loooking to stay in the area.

Unique experience with very kind owner!

Decorated with Victorian antiques, the owner obviously puts thought and care into your stay. He was the kind of person willing to go above and beyond. Even carried my heavy bag downstairs for me.

We love this place. The Rocking Horse Inn makes you feel at home. We have been there twice and will probably come back.

Publié le 16 oct. 2023 sur HotelsThe individual entry code was very easy to use coming and going. The very unique time period of this Inn was inviting and almost like time travel at times! The generous 24 hr available snack and food items were most welcome! But above all the host Bob is an extremely pleasant and kind person! I had an overwhelming sense of peace while staying here.

We stayed for one night at the Rocking Horse Inn after going to a concert in Kent. The inn was very quiet; I think we were the only ones staying there that night. We particularly liked the front and side porches, gardens, the antique rocking horses in every room, and the other antiques throughout the inn. The breakfast, while self-serve, was very well organized in the beautiful dining room, and the host provided a variety and abundance of food options. We particularly liked the bowl of fresh berries. Our room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but adequate. My only complaint is that the carpet had several stains and needed either a deep cleaning or replacing. However, in an old house, there is always something that needs updating. We enjoyed our stay!
