Stunning location- we loved our stay here, especially swimming in the river walking distance from the studio. We also loved the blackberry popsicles at the farm stand north of the Drury-Chaney trail.

Magical. Paradise. Our stay was so incredible it was difficult to leave. Best location in Redway with secret beach & waterfall in your backyard . 5 miles from Avenue of the Giants . The hosts were Fabulous. The property has Everything. Giant Redwoods everywhere What an experience !!!

Me, my wife and our 4 year old son had a wonderful 3-night stay here. Samantha and her family were very nice and accommodating and she was very responsive to any questions or requests we had. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to swim in the river by the property due to toxic algae, but we still enjoyed the beach and the tranquility of it all. The beds were comfy, showers with plenty of warm water and a stocked kitchen with anything you’d need to make a meal; not to mention walking out the door to a grove of ancient redwoods!! It truly was a little slice of Heaven. We would definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

I hate the star system. The Humboldt Abode was absolutely lovely except for a few things. First, the good. Absolutely beautiful property, gorgeous backyard beach, lovely inside with nearly everything one would need. Neat with personal accents, nothing over the top. Quaint, peaceful. The not-so-perfect included very slight uncleanliness in shower area, that the futon bed included two mattresses running parallel with the headboard, so my husband's butt regularly sank into where the two came together. Perhaps they could be repositioned vertically? Not the biggest negatives by ANY MEANS. It was a lovely space. The only thing we did not like is that the main window did not have a covering. No blinds, no curtain. And it was the window that faced the table and both beds, basically where you do most things. We did not feel that we had the privacy we wanted.
