The house is situated in a great neighborhood and pretty spacious. The bus stop is actually right in front of the neighborhood which made it pretty easy to get back from the center of town.
The house itself was good, I will say (and this is not a reflexion of REMAX nor something they could have fixed) but the beds were not comfortable and really need some sort of mattress topper so I HIGHLY recommend bringing one. The couches were also not that comfortable either.
Other than that I would say this was very worth the money, just some minor changes. I really think once the mattress/couch situation is remedied this will be a 5 star house!
This property was your typical, acceptable, rental. It is spacious and clean, in a quiet community. So quiet - It was excessively quiet and our kids felt like had to whisper like they were at the library while in the swimming at the pool (If only I had that problem at home - LOL). The property has a cute park nearby, but it is basically townhomes, parking and pavement, and a tiny community pool.
We were able to walk to the quaint downtown area for shopping and restaurants, it's a bit of a hike but provided some nice exercise. We went to the nearby beach one day and drove because it is a hike with your beach gear. That beach is excessively noisy and crowded, some sketchy types blasting music and doing Zumba on the beach, cigarette smoke and weed wafting up your nostrils. If that's your thing, you'll love it. It's not our idea for enjoying the beach and relaxing so we opted to drive to one of the quieter beaches which we liked much better.
The home is decently appointed in terms of kitchen gear. The furniture was minimal and dated and the sofas were pretty uncomfortable, but we had nice weather so we didn't have to be inside most of the time. Our biggest issue was the mattresses. All of them, in every room, were terribly uncomfortable. It's a rental, so it's not hard to imagine the owners bought the cheapest they could find, but our backs were killing us (including my two young boys). Very hard and lumpy. The Master did not have a comforter, just basically a throw blanket. I was happy to have opted to bring our own sheets to at least have that, but an foam topper for these things would go a long way. We also do not have back or joint issues, so if you do, this is probably not the property you want to sleep at.
Most other properties we've stayed at similar to this had some games or puzzles for rainy days, some beach chairs and a cart so you don't have to bring from home. This house had none. We fortunately called about this and brought our own, so know before you go. It's really so inexpensive to just provide your renters some Uno cards and a puzzle, a few beach chairs. So again, it just sort of says something about the owners.
Also, we were given two e-mails with different gate codes, so it seems we received one, then it was changed and we received another. It took a bit to straighten this out and the confusion was avoidable. It's doubtful we would stay here again - not bad, but not good either. Mediocre.
Location was great
Parking was a challenge and not clear on limitations
Owners rules were a lot to deal with as well as some missing elements
But overall condition of unit was great
This was a very nice, clean and roomy property. The pool was inviting. The only difficulty experienced was with the multitude of codes to enter and leave the community gates; the codes provided on the email did not work. Friendly neighbors provided codes they used that did work. The linens were provided on time. We had a lovely stay. I would recommend.
Location provided easy access to beach and town. Community was secure and attractive. Access to community pool provided a nice alternative to the beach. Rental agent was very responsive and helpful.
Our stay was great. Great property and great location. We had my young (2 yr old twins) and walked to Rehoboth stage twice with them in a wagon. Property was spacious and equipped with all needed items. Pool was great. Overall a great stay.
This townhome is in great condition and within 1 mile of Rehoboth's boardwalk. We walked it twice daily - beach in the morning and then evening activities. It's the perfect distance to burn the extra energy that kids have. Bring board games and other games with you as there were none provided.
We enjoyed our quick trip to this very nice townhouse. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked.
Our issues were (and the reasoning behind me not giving the 5 star rating ) include :
1- code not working at check in. Remax could not be reached after 5(it was 5:15pm). Their after hours number I had to leave a voice mail. They did call back but they also needed to locate someone in the area. Thankfully - several kind neighbors in the area contacted the actual owners for us so they could reset the code. It had started to rain so waiting outside / in our cars after traveling 5-6 hours was not ideal. Thanks to the owners - we were able to get in after about 1/2 hour
2- the bedrooms listed by the contract through remax stated - 1 king / 2 Twins. / 2 twins that could be pushed together to make a queen. The third bedroom is JUST A QUEEN- possibly only a double Because it is necessary to bring ALL OF YOUR OWN LINENS/ towels - I was not prepared for a queen - nor did this bed arrangement work for us really. My daughter who was there for a field hockey tournament had to sleep on fold out couch (she did say it was okay in comfort). But again - not ideal and not what was expected
3- finally. I received several emails prior to check in with contracts and pool contracts. Also received instructions for general check in. Remax stated they would send specific check in info in a separate email. That didnât come. When I questioned this I was told it might have gone to my spam - which it didnât. I hadnât received it. They did resend the information a day prior to check In.
I am saddened by having to write this type of review. The townhouse was very nice. We loved being able to walk to the beach (approx 1 mile ). The communication with the realty company was not great.
Hope some of these issues wouldnât happen to the next renter.
This was a nice place with all the right amenities. The pool location was ideal for the kids and the kitchen/layout was nice too. It's listed as sleeping 8, but that would be tight quarters with only three bedrooms, not to mention the seating area and/or family room only has enough seating for 4 people, didn't make sense if you wanted to have a relaxing indoor family evening. The location was good, but not great.
