OVERVIEW: Southside Unit. This home offers a balance of luxury and serene relaxation. It doesn't get any better than a front-row seat on the boardwalk and views of the beach and ocean beyond! Beautiful OCEANFRONT pet-friendly duplex with five spacious bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two powder rooms, and sleeps 12 comfortably. The ground level offers a one-car garage with beach chairs, an extra refrigerator to store drinks and ice, a laundry room with a full washer & dryer, a powder room, and a ground-level bedroom with a queen bed. This level provides direct access to the beach, boardwalk, and outdoor shower. A spiral staircase gives you access to the 2nd level (main living space) with amazing OCEANVIEWS. You can access the 2nd level (main living space) through the front door to avoid the spiral staircase. The 2nd level is where you will find the main living area to expand your living space and open up the French doors to the balcony, which is OCEANFRONT. This balcony is perfect for dolphin-watching with your morning coffee or entertaining in the evening with a cocktail. An electric fireplace to ward off chilly nights, a sizeable SMART TV, a well-appointed kitchen, and a dining area will make you feel at home. The 3rd level of this duplex provides two additional bedrooms, a hall bathroom, and a large primary bedroom with a king bed and OCEANFRONT balcony.
The final 4th level offers a spacious bedroom and full hall bathroom.

LOCATION: Located on Hickman Street. Oceanfront home in South Rehoboth Beach. Just park and walk everywhere in town!
PARKING: Two in the garage and one in the shared driveway.
AMENITIES: Ceiling fans, outdoor shower, access to boardwalk and beach. Electric fireplace, washer and dryer, and electronic keypad for an easy check-in process.
THINGS TO KNOW: One dog under 40 lbs is permitted with a pet fee. This home rents from Saturday to Saturday. There is a small electric grill in the garage for guest use. Linens are not supplied. However, we do offer a rental package for guests. No smoking! Please note that the VRBO service fee is charged separately by VRBO and is not imposed by the Host. As a result, your credit card will reflect two separate charges: one from VRBO for the service fee and one from the Host for the rental charges. The VRBO service fee will not appear on the Rental Agreement.

It’s not always what you see is what you get

Location was amazing waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was spectacular. Lots of space in the house and the garage proved to be more than necessary with the inclement weather, which is always iffy this time of year. The place needs a lot of TLC, the carpets are disgusting. It looks like they have not been cleaned in years. Hated being barefoot on the floor thank God I brought my slippers. I specifically asked many questions about the fireplace, knowing that it would be a very important part of the coziness. I got there. It’s a piece of trash, absolutely filthy and you can barely see the flame. They might want to include that in the information online when asked multiple times they were not very forthcoming with the condition of the fireplace. I asked them the last time it had been serviced or cleaned and they said it wasn’t necessary. What a disappointment this was. I wound up only staying two nights of the week I had rented. I just could not feel comfortable there.

Multi Generation Family Vacation

We had an awesome time, perfect weather, great location, lots of space in the house. It was convenient to be right on the beach and only 4 blocks from Rehoboth Avenue. We especially liked that the living area was on a separate level from the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dining. The extra refrigerator came handy. We would definitely book again!

Family Wedding

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a place where a 3 of my daughters & families and my mother & sister could stay together. It was perfect for our group. All the kids (5) stayed together on the top floor and had a blast with their cousins - who live in Texas & Oregon. The adults were on a separate floor and we all hung out on the main floor w/amazing view of the beach on the deck. The beach was literally steps from the condo. Get for a hectic weekend of wedding events. We could run out to the beach with the kids, take sunset walks, etc. without even putting on shoes. Short walk on the boardwalk to town. Never needed to drive or park. It was awesome! Id rent it again in a heartbeat.

Great location with fantastic views of the ocean

The property is exactly as advertised. Great location and beautiful views. However, upon our arrival the garage was flooding. We immediately called the rental agent and they dispatched a repair. company. The company arrived the next day. My 76 year old mother almost slipped twice exiting the vehicle. The floor was wet and slippery. We attempted to mop and push the flooding waters on multiple occasions. We were provided with 2 parking passes that seemed like a perk upon our arrival, but it wasn’t. The parking passes were only permitted on streets that are 3 blocks away from the property. My niece received a ticket and contacted the city for clarity. We contacted the realtors on several occasions during our stay. We had major Wi-Fi and television issues. The owner said she would provide a new television in the master bedroom. She never provided the television as she said. We did not have television the entire stay and the Wi-Fi signal was horrible. The owner arrived at the property to look at the television. She said we should be outside and not sitting around the house. My mother and her friends had knee surgery. They wanted to sit on the deck and relax. They did not want to walk around. We selected this house because of the balcony and views. We felt insulted and disrespected by the owner’s response. However, the property manager Kathy provided excellent, prompt customer service. She worked after hours to assist us. She quickly responded to our concerns.

Great house and location!

Our group enjoyed our stay at The Pines. The decks were amazing and provided beautiful views of the beach. Also had fun boardwalk people watching, Kitchen was well equipped and included a crockpot and other amenities not listed. There were 2 permit parking passes included which were also not listed. Would have appreciated knowing since one party in our group had acquired permit prior to arriving at the house. Plenty of new beach chairs and sand toys for the kiddos. We will be returning next year to this beautiful house.

Perfect Beach House

We came for a long weekend with a group of friends. The location was perfect! The patio had amazing views of the ocean and the boardwalk. It was a close walk to a bunch of restaurants, bars, and stores. The house could fit a large number of people, has a spacious living room and nice kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a meal. We loved every minute at this place!

The location and the view of the ocean were awesome! Can't beat that! The house needs some updating (furniture, painting) and attention needs to be made to the cleanliness of the bedrooms, windows sills and washing machine.

Gorgeous Beachfront House

Rented this house for a long weekend to recharge our batteries. It was a great huge house - I cannot get over the amazing views! Being able to see the sun rise from my bed - and hearing the ocean all night -was so wonderful. I loved that the house was dog friendly; our pup loved the decks. I'd definitely stay here again -

Dream Oceanfront Way Better Than Expected

Phenomenal house in every respect. Was candidly surprised how well appointed and clean it was after reading some other reviews. Decor was tasteful and cheerful. But the views, OH MY!! I spent most of the visit transfixed by the sight and sounds of the waves. This was a winter visit so we also had the spectacular sight of snow on the beach. My whole family complimented me like crazy since I chose the spot. Remax folks always picked up the phone to answer my questions. I used the linens service they recommended. It was on the pricey side but was happy to not have to schlep towels, pillowcases, etc back and forth. There is ample glassware/dishes and everything works really well (dishwasher was confusing but worked great when i figured it out). Wifi worked great and there is Chromecast set up on the main TV so you just need to download the app and watch all your own video services. I only write reviews when a place sucks or is spectacular. This place is spectacular.

Beach and boardwalk family stay

Very nice home. Great for our family and convenient to the beach and town. Only issue was that the two car garage was not available as stated, as it was filled with bathroom supplies for a renovation. REMax was told, and our contact said, “that happens sometimes”. It made unloading more trouble than it should have been and made having our dogs there (we paid the dog fees) a bit more of a hassle (anyone with dogs knows how important a garage can be). Parking that time of year is free, but it did make for some parking struggles with our three vehicles when the streets were full. Had REMax or the owner said a simple “I’m sorry” I would not bring it up. A gesture of any type, rather than flippancy, would have been appropriate.

Amazing location and space!

This property is in such a great location. Steps to the boardwalk and beach, a few minutes’ walk to the rides at Funland. Also within a 10-15 minute easy walk to great restaurants, and a 10-15 minute drive to grocery stores and the water park. Rehoboth has so much to offer children and adults alike. The property had beautiful views and lots of space. The master bedroom and bathroom are the most updated and we’re beautifully done. The loft bedroom and other upstairs bathrooms needed some love. They were clean but could use some updating. They felt a little dark and dated. The other bedrooms were very nice. Great views from almost every room! The kitchen was large and well appointed. There were lots of beach chairs and garage space. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Location! Location! Location!

The location of this property couldn't have been better. Ocean front, short walk to shops/restaurants and steps from the boardwalk (but on a quiet end). The only negatives we have are the bed-please upgrade them. We also had a couple ants in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. Other than that, we loved our stay and would stay again for sure!

AMAZING

This property is not only in a superb location (boardwalk and oceanfront) but also beautifully decorated, very comfortable and amazingly well equipped. It is apparent that the owners take great care of this house and have provided so many things to make for a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this property to anyone interested in a vacation in Rehobeth Beach!

Great Location - very tired property

Location can't be beat. Gorgeous views, so close to everything, lot's of outdoor viewing space. The property is very out of date. That wouldn't bother me if it was just cosmetic or the colors weren't up to date, but everything from the bathrooms, to the carpets, to the furniture...you just feel like you're surrounded by 30 years of filth. The renter was curt, and somewhat demeaning during the whole booking process.

Definitely recommend

I would give the overall house 4.5 stars. The location is fantastic, the owners provided a number of necessities (coffee pods, paper products, beach chairs, etc), and the rental process was flawless. The only downsides to consider are: the bedroom with four beds is directly above the master and has paper thin floors (so we could hear the kids walking around at night); that same room doesn't have a door so it would be tough to use for another family; and the parking is a bit odd as you share a driveway. But overall, we had a great time, the view is priceless, and we would definitely go back.

Excellent location of a great house

The location of this house is perfect, really at the beach., which is even a big plus in wintertime. The house was perfect for our family (5 adults and 4 kids), and there was room for even more people. We never felt it was overcrowded. The bedrooms are very nice and clean. The living room was great too. Everything was in working condition. We only found the kitchen floor somewhat sticky and also some of the pots and pans needed some additional cleaning when we arrived. However, in general, all the positives about this house and its location outweigh our few remarks. We would love to return.

The location can't be beat! Right on boardwalk just north of Funland. Easy walking to everything. House is very nice, plenty of room for guests. I would stay here again. Areas that could be improved: Mattresses are thin and well worn - need updating Bathrooms are dated - they are fine but for the price point, I would expect them to have been updated. Same with kitchen - well appointed cooking gear but cabinets and counters are dated. Word of caution with garage, I have a large SUV and it would not fit in garage. Had to park in front of garage door - this was fine as it was off-season but anyone with a Suburban or similar vehicle may have trouble parking. Second word of caution is the address and GPS - this was very confusing. If you punch in the address from the contract, it reflects either a property quite west of the beach or one that is 1 mile or more north.
