Κατά το σχεδιασμό και την κατασκευή της βίλας εφαρμόσαμε αρχές οικολογικού σχεδιασμού για την ελαχιστοποίηση των ενεργειακών αναγκών του σπιτιού και την εξασφάλιση της άνεσης με παθητικούς τρόπους. Με αυτό τον τρόπο κατασκευάσαμε ένα σπίτι που ικανοποιεί τις απαιτήσεις των επισκεπτών και τις καθημερινές ανάγκες, παρέχοντας: Την ενσωμάτωση του κτιρίου στο περιβάλλον του. Η θερμική λουτρό άνεσης το καλοκαίρι και το χειμώνα. Η ψύξη της βίλας (χωρίς κλιματισμό), θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό. Τέλος, εξαιρετικές συνθήκες φυσικού φωτισμού. Η βίλα είναι 186μ², χτισμένη με εσωτερική σκάλα. Στον επάνω όροφο υπάρχουν τρία υπνοδωμάτια με διπλά και μονά κρεβάτια, μπάνια και ευρύχωρες βεράντες με θέα στο απέραντο πράσινο που εκτείνεται στις κορυφές των Λευκών Ορέων.(Λευκά Όρη). Στο ισόγειο υπάρχει ένα ευρύχωρο καθιστικό με δορυφορική τηλεόραση, τζάκι και άνετο καναπέ. Καλά οργανωμένη κουζίνα, σε συνδυασμό με μια άνετη τραπεζαρία. Όλα τα υπνοδωμάτια είναι εξοπλισμένα με στρώματα Coco-mat και σεντόνια.


Τοποθεσία - Εκδρομές: Η Κατική Γωνιά βρίσκεται μόλις 8χλμ. Από το Ρέθυμνο, στο χωριό Γωνιά. Το πράσινο τοπίο περιβάλλει το σπίτι και η θέα προς τα βουνά της νότιας και δυτικής Κρήτης είναι εξαιρετική. Το περιβάλλον είναι ιδανικό για πεζοπορία σε φαράγγια άγριας ομορφιάς, πράσινα μονοπάτια και κατά μήκος γοητευτικών ρευμάτων. Οι εύφοροι ελαιώνες και οι αμπελώνες προσφέρουν μια μεγάλη διαδρομή για το τρέξιμό σας, την ποδηλασία και τις σύντομες πεζοπορίες σας. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Gonia. The house is very beautiful, spacious and has everything needed. Perfect for families. The owners are wonderful people and have an excellent family restaurant down the road. We went twice in a week :) would highly recommend. Kids (and parents) were sad to leave.

Relaxing

Just returned from a week at this amazing villa. Better than the listed photos. Superbly clean and everything provided. The host, Marianna, was keen to help in anyway we required. Quiet location but with a supermarket and Marianna’s taverna a very short walk for convenience. Watching the stars from the roof terrace was a huge bonus and we even saw the Milly Way. We will return!

Week at Villa Gonia

We had a wonderful time at Villa Gonia, and Marianna is the consummate host! Her recommendations regarding beaches were spot on and the experience dining at her Taverna just a short walk from the villa was an absolute pleasure. We arrived during a heat wave and were concerned that there was no AC, however this was not an issue at all. The house is well designed for good air flow and to remain cool in the heat, it was nice to experience how homes SHOULD be designed for warm climates. I hope to visit again in the near future.

Amazing Family Holiday

We had an amazing time staying at the Villa. The Villa was perfect and we had a great time around the excellent pool. Marianna and Nikos and their family we so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ate at their taverna numerous times. The food was brilliant home cooked Greek food. Would definitely recommend staying there.

The perfect holiday

The villa is amazing with stunning views of the mountains, a good sized swimming pool, loads of room in the villa. The perfect hosts friendly and so welcoming, the tavern has the most amazing food, a fantastic village shop. Booking this villa is the best thing you will ever do. Crete is amazing, beautiful landscapes, amazing food and the nicest people.

Fantastic autmun break at Villa Gonia

Marianna and Nikos were the perfect hosts and the property was perfect for a late autumn break. The villa is very spacious with all the amenities a visiting family could need and is very well placed for exploring the island being near to Rethymno and with the south coast beaches and mountains easily accessible. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Villa in Beautiful Crete

We stayed for 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. Very clean, amazing pool and everything you need to really enjoy your holiday . These renters have made sure it’s like home and have everything from coffee machine to toastie maker !! Great location for exploring Crete. What was outstanding was the communication with Marianna , thoughtful, very kind and always happy to help. Her local taverna is a very short walk away and food just amazing !!

Amazing!!!

We have just arrived back from a gorgeous week, as 2 families there was plenty of space, the set up of the villa is perfect as you can see the children from all angles. Mariana is absolutely wonderful and completes the stay, met us on arrival and then answered all of our questions and guided us all week. They also own the incredible taverna at the bottom of the road, which is truly delicious!! Along with the mini market too, there is everything you need. we absolutely loved that it wasn’t touristy and we were staying amongst the locals and out of the way but everything was there. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back, my family is already excited to book from hearing about our holiday! Thank you again Mariana ♥️

2 weeks stay!

What an amazing place, thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay at villa Gonia. Marianna and Nikos looked after us from the minute we checked in until our last night. Communication was excellent from the day we booked and never had an issue. Their local taverna is only a 2min walk from the villa and offers some great Cretan dishes. It was our first time in crete and certainly won’t be the last one. We wouldn’t hesitate booking the villa again.

As good as it looks!

Marianna and Nikos are the perfect hosts - totally unobtrusive but immediately responsive to queries and requests. Their taverna just five minutes walk from the villa does great food and has a cosy, authentic vibe. The villa itself looks exactly as it does in the photos - immaculate inside and out, with high quality appliances, a very spacious lounge and kitchen and nice shaded areas for eating outside. Although the lack of air conditioning meant the bedrooms upstairs got a bit warm at times, every room has a good sized fan, and the swimming pool was crisp and refreshing first thing and warmed up naturally in the sun during the day. The location is excellent - perfectly peaceful up in the hills but with a mini market just a few minutes walk away for essentials, beaches just a 15 - 20 minute drive away and more great restaurants, right on the waterfront, just 10 minutes by car. We were a family of four, with two kids under four and we all had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

Do not hesitate.... It's truly amazing!

The best place we've ever stayed. This beautiful house has everything listed and so much more, everything has been thought of. Full insect screens on all the doors and windows are a huge plus. Many cocktail nights on the roof terrace, star gazing. The village is very peaceful and has a very convenient little supermarket. Marianna and Nikos are lovely people, they are available if needed but not at all invasive. They have a Taverna around the corner which is fabulous, delicious and very reasonable (we ate there 5 times in 2 weeks!) I'd advise to rent a car and drive to some of the stunning calm sea beaches on the South - about 40 min easy drive. North beaches also lovely. Would love to go back one day. Beautiful villa

Responsiveness leading up to the stay was excellent. Villa was exactly as expected based on the pictures and description. Marianna and Niko were lovely hosts. Flexibility on arrival and departure times was much appreciated. The villa was exceptionally clean and well presented. Had a wonderful evening and meal at the local taverna run by the hosts. A beautiful villa with fantastic owners!

We have enjoyed a fabulous week in this beautiful accommodation. Marianna and Nikos have been excellent since the initial booking until our checkout. We have enjoyed delicious meals in their wonderful taverna and would not hesitate in recommending both the villa and restaurant. Leaving feeling truly relaxed which is all we had hoped for!

Beautiful villa, perfectly located with wonderful hosts

Fantastic family holiday, staying in Villa Gonia. Immaculate house, very comfortable and very well equipped and most importantly, incredibly relaxing. Nikos and Marianna were the perfect hosts, their hospitality is second to none. We enjoyed mouth-watering dinners at their wonderful taverna in the village. It was fantastic to experience their authentic home-cooked Greek food. Utterly delicious! Their warm welcome made it an extra special holiday and they bid us farewell with gifts of honey, marmalade and oregano. A car is essential and allows you to travel around the island as much as you want. We enjoyed several trips to the local town of Rethymno and also travelled through the stunning mountains to the beautiful southern beaches which were incredibly quiet for August. Many days, we also just wanted to relax by the pool, listening to the wonderful wildlife and enjoy the spectacular mountain views - our teenage daughters especially enjoyed yoga sessions on the rooftop and in the evening the stars are amazing! Thank you again Marianna and Nikos, it was fabulous, and we really do hope to return to Villa Gonia.

Amazing relaxing gorgeous villa

We had a fantastic week here (not long enough) We arrived very late and were met by Marianna and her daughter Mary, who bought us food and beer from their taverna (just around the corner 5 min walk and again highly recommend!) they were so warm and welcoming. We chilled be the pool and walked to the taverna in the evening. Marianna would give us advice on where to go and cook us the most delicious food, we only wish we’d booked 10 days instead of 7!

Beautifully designed house and relaxing holiday

Stunning modern design house with top-end appliances and fittings. Clean and well maintained. Local taverna and supermarket very convenient. Good sized private pool - a little cold but with snow on the hilltops, that is to be expected. Good communication from the thoughtful owners. All made for a very relaxing stay.

Superb villa, wonderful hosts

This villa was spacious and very comfortable. It was well equipped and maintained and was perfect for a relaxing weeks holiday. It was spotlessly clean plus we had a mid stay clean and change of towels & linen which was very welcome. The village of Gonia was remarkably well serviced – as well as Marianna & Nikos’ wonderful taverna, it had a café, petrol station and mini market. We used all of these facilities several times, great to be able to walk rather than have to get in a car. The hospitality of the Greek people in general was excellent and Marianna & Nikos were in particular very hospitable. Plus their taverna was fantastic value with great food, we will review that separately on Trip Advisor as it was so good! Thank you for a great holiday. Would happily recommend this villa to friends and family.

We wanted to stay somewhere quiet and peaceful so we could relax but also stay in a location where we could access all the places we planned to visit in Crete. Villa-Gonia ticked all those boxes and even more!! To start, the owners, Marianna and Nikos are the most kind, helpful, generous and friendly people you could ever hope to meet. We were treated like family and we felt so genuinely welcomed and looked after. We loved eating at the fantastic taverna they own down the road, and the food was delicious. Next, the house is absolutely immaculate and has everything you could possibly need on holiday. The house is spacious and it works well for a small family or a larger family. The pool was beautiful and our children had a great time mucking about in the water. We hired a car and had planned to travel to lots of different places in Crete. The house is about 15 minutes away from Rethymno - a great old town to explore and it is about an hour and a half from Heraklion airport. We went to some beautiful beaches in the south of Crete and they took about 45 minutes to get to. We loved basing ourselves here and driving around Crete through lovely little villages and through truly amazing landscapes. We saw so many amazing things on our adventure around Crete. And at the end of the day, we returned to our lovely house, where the sky was full of stars and we could rest our tired bodies in absolute peace and quiet. We loved staying here and I highly recommend it as a great base for your adventure in Crete. Thanks Marianna and Nikos for making our stay so wonderful and memorable. A perfect villa for a great family vacation

We had an excellent vacation thanks to this beautiful village house in Gonia, newly built, white, wide, clean, modern, tranquil and Well equipped. The friendly and welcoming owners are also run a charming tavern in the village. The villa is surrounded by olive trees, pomegranate, lemon, raspberry bushes, and figs. An excellent base for trips on the island. Wish we could stay more. Crete at its best.

Stunning Villa

I think everything has already been said about the villa so I will keep it short. Absolutely lovely villa, incredibly well maintained and spotless. Thank you to Marianna, Nikos and their children for their generous hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet you all and sample the many dishes at your restaurant just around the corner from the villa.

A fantastic place for relaxing ...

We've stayed here before and liked it so much that we came back for our honeymoon! It's immaculately clean and beautifully designed. A lovely swimming pool for cooling down from the welcome heat. A short walk to gather provisions. Everything that you need is here - you just supply the food and drink and relax ... We can't recommend it highly enough! And we will be back
