Rewild Cabin-Modern Cabin Sanctuary with Valley Views, Firepit & Wraparound Deck

Tucked into 10 acres of North Idaho countryside, Rewild is a small, modern cabin built around a simple idea: what if getting away wasn't about doing more—but about remembering how good it feels to do less?

No resort crowds. No schedule. No entertainment calendar. No pressure to fill every hour. Just a beautifully considered cabin, a big landscape, and enough distance from everyday life to hear yourself think again.

The first thing you'll notice is the light. More than 20 salvaged windows bring the valley, trees, changing weather, and shifting North Idaho seasons into the cabin. Morning comes through the glass. Afternoon settles across the deck. At night, the windows turn dark and the cabin becomes its own little world.

The design is intentionally restrained: warm wood, blackened textures, natural materials, clean lines, and an abundance of glass. Modern without feeling sterile. Rustic without becoming kitsch. Comfortable without losing the feeling that you are somewhere far away from ordinary life.

It's about 700 square feet, and that's intentional. Rewild isn't meant to be a house you happen to sleep in. It's a place designed to make you live outside more, linger longer, and pay attention to the little things.

Make coffee. Open the doors. Step outside. Breathe.

Inside you'll find a comfortable living area, full kitchen, full bathroom with hot water, heating, and two distinct sleeping spaces. Upstairs, the loft has a queen bed tucked beneath the roofline. Downstairs, a separate bedroom has a full-size bed. The cabin is perfect for two, but can accommodate up to five adults.

For two, the space feels intimate and indulgent. For a small family or group, it becomes a cozy basecamp for days spent outside. Everything has a purpose. Nothing is there just to take up space. And because the cabin is small, the outside becomes part of the living space.

The wraparound deck is where you're likely to spend most of your time. Morning coffee overlooking the valley. A book in the afternoon. A cold drink as the temperature drops. Dinner outside. A blanket when the evening gets cool. And eventually, firelight.

The deck isn't an accessory to the cabin. It's part of it. When the weather cooperates, it becomes the dining room, living room, reading nook, and front-row seat to the landscape. There is no better table reservation than sunset.

Yes, there's an outdoor shower. And yes, you're going to use it.

There's something about standing under hot water with nothing between you and the trees that makes an ordinary shower feel completely different. Equal parts primitive and luxurious—which is a pretty good description of Rewild itself. The indoor bathroom is there when you want four walls. The outdoor shower is there when you decide four walls are unnecessary.

Every good cabin needs a fire. There's a firepit outside where evenings have a tendency to stretch longer than planned. Sit around it with a drink. Cook over it. Tell stories. Stare into it for an hour without saying much at all. There's no productivity requirement at Rewild. In fact, we'd prefer you ignore the concept entirely.

And then there's the food.

Rewild Table is our farm-to-table dining experience, offered on select evenings and created around the same philosophy as the cabin: beautiful ingredients, fire, seasonality, and ceremony.

Guests may have the opportunity to join us for an intimate multi-course dinner inspired by what is growing, what is being gathered, and what is available around us. Think North Idaho through a more refined lens: wild game, garden vegetables, foraged ingredients, fresh herbs, house-made preserves and vinegars, and food prepared slowly and served intentionally.

A beautiful table. Firelight. Good wine. A long evening.

The menu changes with the land and the season. Nothing about it is meant to feel like a restaurant dropped into the woods. It is an extension of the place. Rewild Table is offered separately from the cabin stay on select dates.

Because life needs a sense of ceremony.

Rewild sits on 10 acres of North Idaho countryside. This isn't a vacation development manufactured to look rural. It's a working piece of land with fruit trees, nut trees, raised garden beds, a natural spring, forested areas, open ground, and wildlife.

Depending on the season, you might wake to birdsong, watch wildlife moving through the property, find wildflowers blooming, see the valley disappear beneath morning fog, or sit beneath a sky full of stars.

The landscape changes constantly. You're not visiting a backdrop. You're staying in a place that is alive.

The name Rewild isn't just a marketing trick. It's built around the belief that modern life has made many things incredibly convenient—and somehow made us less connected to them.

We rush through mornings. We fill silence with noise. We automate the little rituals that used to make an ordinary day feel meaningful.

Rewild is our small rebellion against that. Not an escape from modern life. A reminder of what we sometimes lose inside it.

Because life needs a sense of ceremony.

Making coffee can be a ceremony. Cooking dinner can be a ceremony. Taking a long shower outside can be a ceremony. Building a fire can be a ceremony. Walking onto the deck before anyone else is awake can be a ceremony. Setting a beautiful table can be a ceremony. Watching the last light disappear across the valley can be a ceremony.

None of these things are complicated. That's exactly why they matter.

You don't actually have to do anything here.

Explore North Idaho. Hike. Fish. Hunt. Look for wildlife. Wander the property. Discover the surrounding lakes and rivers. Spend an afternoon on the deck with a book.

Or make breakfast, put your feet up, and spend six hours doing absolutely nothing.

We consider both successful vacations.

The surrounding North Idaho landscape is rich with forests, rivers, lakes, wildlife, and outdoor recreation. The St. Maries River and surrounding country offer opportunities for fishing, exploring, wildlife watching, and getting outside. The region is home to whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, moose, black bear, upland birds, waterfowl, and small game.

There's also a local history of garnets, fossils, and gold panning. Depending on the season, the area can be a playground for hunters, anglers, hikers, photographers, foragers, bird watchers, and anyone who simply likes being outside.

But you don't have to go anywhere. Sometimes the best adventure starts with opening the cabin door.

For the practical people: Rewild is approximately 700 square feet with a full kitchen, full bathroom, hot water, heating, a comfortable living space, a queen bed in the loft, and a full-size bed in the downstairs bedroom. The cabin is best suited to two guests but can accommodate up to five adults.

Outside you'll find a wraparound deck with valley views, a private outdoor shower, firepit, and access to the surrounding property.

Rewild is intentionally connected to its surroundings. You may hear wildlife or encounter birds, deer, insects, or other animals. You may find dust or mud. The weather may change your plans. The woods don't always behave themselves.

That's okay.

This isn't about roughing it. There's a proper bathroom, hot water, heating, a real kitchen, comfortable beds, thoughtful design, a private outdoor shower, and a firepit waiting at the end of the day.

That's the balance we're after.

Wild outside. Refined inside.

Modern luxury has gotten complicated. We think it's actually pretty simple.

It's waking up without an alarm. Coffee on the deck. A hot shower under an open sky. Clean sheets and a comfortable bed. Cooking something slowly—or letting someone else do the cooking. Sitting around a fire after dark. Seeing stars. Hearing nothing but the wind. Having a conversation without a notification interrupting it.

It's eating something exceptional at a table beneath the night sky.

It's realizing the day was completely full even though you didn't accomplish a single thing.

That is the kind of luxury we're interested in.

Not more. Less—but better.

Eventually, you'll have to go home.

You'll pack your bags. Close the cabin door. Drive back toward whatever waits for you there.

But hopefully you'll take something with you.

Maybe it's the memory of the valley at sunset. The smell of woodsmoke in your clothes. The taste of dinner around the fire. The feeling of hot water on your shoulders while the trees surround you. Or simply the feeling of having slowed down.

That's what Rewild is really about.

Not escaping your life. Returning to it a little more awake.

Come for the cabin. Come for the valley. Come for the fire. Come for the outdoor shower. Come for the food. Come because you need a few days where nobody needs anything from you. Come because you want to remember what quiet sounds like. Come because you want to wake up somewhere beautiful.

Or come because, sometimes, you just need to get the hell out of town.

Whatever brings you here—slow down.

Look around.

Stay awhile.

And come back a little wilder.
