Beautiful guesthouse in the centre of Reykjavik, free parking and free wifi!

Just renovated and back on VRBO after a few years of absence. This contemporary house/villa is in a quiet residential area in the centre of ReykjavĂ­k built in 2002 and designed by its architect owner. The part being rented out is a detached, i.e. separate guest house. The villa is located within 70 meters from the seafront and only 15 minutes walk from the bustling center where you will find The National Theatre, the main museums, art galleries, cinemas, coffee houses, restaurants, bars and the main shopping streets. The bustling center (MiĂ°bĂŠr) is a 3 min bus ride away from the house but the bus stop is within 2 min walking distance from the house. The guest house is 76 m2 and is ideal for a couple or a family of four. The location offers fantastic walking and cycling routes along the sea front. There are two bicycles at the Guesthouse, free of charge for the guests. Within 15 minutes walk away there is a geothermal heated beach as well as swimming pools. Free parking outside of the house as well as private patio.

This property was a great place to start our visit to Iceland. The beds were comfy and it was a 30 minute walk to the downtown area. There was also a nice trail along the sea just 5 minutes away. Communication with the hostess was quick and easy. We would totally stay here again on our next visit!

GrundsĂ€tzlich hat uns unser Aufenthalt hier gefallen.Das Haus ist hĂŒbsch und gepflegt, allerdings fehlt es etwas an Stauraum fĂŒr persönliche Dinge, was die Nutzung etwas einschrĂ€nkt. Auch ist der Eingang nicht ganz einfach zu finden. Hier wĂŒrde die Hausnummer am Parkplatz des Hauses sehr helfen. Wichtig ist noch zu wissen: Bei den Ausstattungsmerkmalen "Pool" und "Whirlpool" handelt es sich um den nahen öffentlichen Pool, nicht um private Einrichtungen am Haus.

Super location and host

Loved the super close access to walking/biking path. Easy drive into downtown. Washer/dryer very convient. Could BBQ, but we didn't. About a 30 min walk into town if you don't want to drive. Would 100% rent again.

Wonderful Guest house accomidations

Great trip to Iceland began before we got there. The host was so nice to provide information for planning the trip. Check in was a breeze and the guest house was just perfect for me and my two teens. Clean and fully equipt kitchen for cooking light meals. Fabulous location near the sea for nice oceanside walks every morning.

Comfortable for small family

Our family of 3 enjoyed the brief stay. The guesthouse is not the largest, but plenty of space for a quick trip to Reykjavik. The beds were comfortable and there were no hassles when it was time to check out.

Amazing guesthouse

What a wonderful guesthouse for our family of four. Right in the City near shoreline walking paths and a less than 5 minute drive to everything. The unit is beautifully designed and was comfortable for our two kids and parents alike. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience.

My family had an excellent experience staying in the guest house. The overall look and functionality made our experience extremely comfortable. The hosts were available and very friendly. We had an amazing time celebrating New Year’s Eve mostly due to the very charming neighborhood we were fortunate to be a part of for a few days.

Cozy location with a great host

The guesthouse was warm and cozy and did not leave any wish open. The bed was a dream, we slept very well. Also the kitchen was very well equipped and we used it frequently to prepare meals. The landlord Gudrun- Eva is a nice lady who helped us to prepare our stay, she was always available when we had questions, she made us feel very welcomed. We also liked the quiet surrounding and the close proximity to the sea, and are already looking for the next occasion to come back!

Wonderful place to stay in Reykjavik

My wife and I loved this comfortable and private guesthouse. Located near a coastal walking path and a short drive to the center of Reyjavik, it was a great base for exploring nearby parts of Iceland. The guesthouse had everything we needed and we would be delighted to stay there again. Highly recommended!

The property was very clean and in a nice neighborhood. We spent 2 nights & everything we needed was there. There are several grocery store in close proximity. This was perfect for getting stuff for breakfasts & snacks. The bus station is right around the corner if you want to go into town for dinner and drinks. The owner was very helpful in providing info on the buses. It was a great first visit to reykjavik & iceland. We'll need to plan another visit to see more.
