Certainly not for everyone, but if youâre up for a unique stay with a rustic feel, Stone Cottage is great. The house was well appointed (even spices, coffee filters etc), clean and oozed authenticity of the old West. The farm animals, especially Calamity Jane, were a huge plus, and it was fun to help feed them and hear about the history of the homestead. Super quiet, waking up to the call of the roosters. The owner, Joe, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Communication was great throughout the whole process. Loved the ability to kick back in the yard and have a fire at the end of the day and make a meal as opposed to eating out every day. The drive in isnât the most scenic/through a local residential area, but once you get past it, youâre up on a hill overlooking the valley. If you an adventurous soul, and remember youâre in a 100 year old cottage, staying on this working farm is a great experience.
