Dog friendly Curlew Lodge Riverdale located in Yorkshire

Escape to Curlew, a luxury lodge in West Tanfield near Ripon, surrounded by the stunning North Yorkshire countryside. Set in the heart of Riverdale, it offers views of open fields, with the River Ure just a few steps away. Inside, you'll find a spacious open-plan living area with a cosy wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, and three comfortable bedrooms. The lodge is dog-friendly and the enclosed deck provides the perfect place to enjoy the evening sun.

Curlew is one of four stylish, cosy lodge nestled in the scenic beauty of North Yorkshire’s Great Outdoors. Thoughtfully decorated, it offers a unique blend of outdoor living with all the luxuries of a modern home, creating a truly relaxing yet adventurous getaway.

Each lodge offers a generous living space with an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen featuring a large island and full-size appliances. The spacious living area includes two large sofas, a Smart TV, and a log burner, while the dining area boasts a large family table with lovely views over the terrace.
This lodge has three comfortable bedrooms, accommodating up to six people, including children of all ages. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom and a double bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom includes two single beds. All bedrooms are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen with hypoallergenic duvets, ample wardrobe space and Smart TVs.
The family bathroom includes all facilities and a large bathtub as well as an overhead rainfall shower.

Outside, the enclosed wooden decking are is home to a six-seater dining table with recliner chairs, perfect for alfresco dining.
Dogs are welcome and you'll have access to local walks right on the doorstep and grassed areas including the decking area. There’s also plenty of space for dog beds, making the lodge perfect for guests bringing their four-legged friends.

For ultimate relaxation, you can also reserve the wood-fired Sauna and Cold Plunge' experience – a perfect space to relax, reconnect, and recharge. Whether solo or with loved ones, this retreat invites you to switch off from the hustle and bustle of daily life and fully unwind. More details can be found below.

Curlew is located in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales, known for its breath-taking landscapes, rich culture, and diverse wildlife. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities, including fly fishing, cycling, and bird watching, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Three dogs are allowed for a small additional charge of £20.00 per dog. We politely ask that dogs are kept off all beds and furniture.
Highchair and travel cot can be provided upon request, free of charge.
A basket of logs is provided for the log burner.
Fly fishing is also available on site. Please enquire before booking.

SAUNA & COLD PLUNGE EXPERIENCE
The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge overlooks the River Ure for an unforgettable experience.
Feel your stress fade away in the sauna and rejuvenate in the cold plunge. Rain or shine, the Riverdale Sauna & Plunge offers a space to relax, reconnect, and recharge.
You can book the entire sauna for yourself, couple or friends/family. This is a private session, so you will not have to share the sauna with others. We allow a maximum of 4 people in a private session. This is a 90’ minute long session including time for changing before and after.
If you book on behalf of your group, you need to make sure that everybody has read and agreed to the waiver form.
Everybody in the group needs to be at least 16 years old to use the sauna.
