The Stable Block is a beautifully converted 18th-century building offering character, comfort, and modern amenities, just a short walk from Masham’s market square, traditional pubs, tearooms, independent shops, and the renowned Black Sheep and Theakston breweries.

This stylish Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage sleeps up to 5 (6 at a pinch) guests and is ideal for walking holidays, cycling breaks, and pet-friendly getaways (dogs welcome on request). The property blends original features with contemporary living, including a cosy lounge with flat-screen TV and SKY, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, and French doors opening onto a private walled courtyard garden (shared) with outdoor seating and charcoal BBQ—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Dales.

A key feature of the Stable Block is the ground-floor double bedroom with en-suite and direct garden access, making it suitable for guests with limited mobility, although please note the property is not fully wheelchair accessible. Upstairs, there is a comfortable king-size bedroom and a single room that can become a small twin on request (or we can provide a port a cot for an infant), along with an additional shower room, providing flexible accommodation for families and friends.

Located in one of North Yorkshire’s favourite market towns, Masham offers a bi-weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays (and bank holidays), excellent local food, and easy access to top attractions including Fountains Abbey, Jervaulx Abbey, and scenic countryside walks right from the doorstep. The Stable Block also benefits from access to a shared enclosed garden area and can be booked alongside Morton House to accommodate up to 14 guests in total—ideal for larger family gatherings or group holidays.
