The property was ok and a decent value. My issue is with communication between the hotel and Expedia. I am not sure who is to blame but Expedia listed the pet fee as $25. When I checked in for 1 night, I was charged a pet fee of $52. When I questioned it, I was told there was nothing they could do about the discrepancy and that no management was available to speak to but that I could see them in the morning. In the morning, I was once again told that no management was available but that they would pass my concern on. We chose the property partly due to the advertised pet fee so am not happy and no one seems to care. I will not stay here again.

Skip this property. There’s way too many other hotels in the area to even attempt this one. First of all the pet fee on Expedia is stating a $25. When I went to check in they told me it was 50 and there was nothing I could do about it. The room was shabby, the rug was torn and stained, the bathroom door was cracked and broken. And the whole room had an odd stale smell. There’s definitely better options.

Mainstay Suites has been a perfect option for my daughter as she competes for Miss Virginia. It is quiet, but only 8 minutes away from the competition at Hotel Roanoke or the Berglund Center. Also…there is plenty of room for all the clothes she needs to bring for pageant week! The staff was excellent, responsive, and accommodating!
