Awesome property

Property is quite amazing. My only gripe is the room I was in the thermostat wasn’t working, I couldn’t turn the temperature down, so I had to open the window and turn the thermostat off because it was 76 in there. Also, whatever mechanicals are outside the room, were very loud, resulting in a High pitched whine all the time.

Thank you, Ben, for taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay with us. I'm sorry that the HVAC system was not as responsive as you would have liked. It is a unique energy efficient system & this building is pressurized which means there is a constant flow of fresh air coming into the building through the DOAZ vent. Unfortunately, the vent is located right outside your room door &, for some guests, the sound of the air passing through can be annoying. I apologize that it bothered you during your stay with us.

The room has everything

I chose the Barkman Hotel for this time, too. I like the living room area. It is so big and has awesome furniture!! Everyone enjoys their own time with joy. There is a washer and a dryer in the room. So comfortable and cool. I appreciate their coffee beans free service.

Great Mayo location

The Berkman was a great stay while we were at the St Mary's Mayo. Most meals were eaten in with the nice kitchen, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet and safe. The only drawback was that the living room tv had many fewer channels than the bedroom tv.

It is a lovely new property that has more amenities than most. There is a pool, billiards, golf simulator, and a restaurant on site and many nearby. The only negative comment would be that they store their linens in the hallways

There are good and bad things about the Berkman. The property is visually attractive with a clean, contemporary style. Unfortunately the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. It was impossible to sit and watch TV on the couch, it was like sitting on bleachers in a high school gymnasium. The bed was also hard and uncomfortable with flat pillows. This was our second, and last, stay at Berkman. We will go back to Staybridge Suites on Commerce for future Mayo visits. There were many positives, however. The bathroom was roomy with lots of towels and a nice, deep tub (may be difficult for those with mobility issues). The kitchen was a large, full kitchen with dishes, silverware, etc. The parking garage is best suited for those with compact cars as exiting the garage was challenging every time. The free shuttle back and forth to Mayo worked very well.

This is the best property. We will Always come back here when staying in Rochester. It is clean, staff is so nice and helpful. I love the hot pot and coffee with grinder and pour over option. The cookies as a gift are enjoyed.
