Cleanliness was probably the worst I have ever experience. Bad smell throughout, and the walls and ceiling in the room needed a deep cleaning. The night staff was terrible, but the morning staff was very nice and polite. This location is conveniently located close to Carowinds. I think there is potential if the sanitation gets addressed.

We could barely find the motel. It was dark. The motel 6 sign was not lit which is ironic since their motto is "We will leave the light on for you." The place is quite run down.

Without question the worst hotel I have ever attempted to stay at. Hallways smelled of urine, apparent homeless walking hallways with big dogs, sparse room was bug infested. We walked in and walked out. Have been unable to receive a refund.

Not pet friendly and after getting threatened with a $50 fine for my dog using the bathroom pee of all things in the wrong place a flower bed while pooring rain trying to make it to my car and cold and the clerk that was so rude became emotional and threatening saying that I couldn't ask what the heck his problem was he started yelling and saying he was a man and I couldn't talk to him any kinda way but when he told me don't let me see you do it again or it's a$50 fine I said just go ahead and fine he told me to come and get it and he had temper issues because this location also doesn't offer housekeeping they require you to take ur trash to the dumpster and bring towels to the desk for exchange while housekeeper is not working and this cleck is and was rude when asked to explain what to do for cleaning and towels and I told the housekeeper he was rude so he decided that he could act this way and after letting me renew my stay from 12/23/25 to 12/26/25 they refused to renew my reservation for 12/26 - 1228 because I filled a complaint that was used against the employee and said to keep peace they couldn't honor my reservation but I had filled my complaint against the employee on 12/18 and ended that stay on 12/23

No house keeping you have to take your towels down to the front desk in exchange them while housekeeping is working and they do not tell you this upon check-in you also have to take your trash to the dumpster yourself which is out back and there is no elevator access at the back of the building this feels more like prison towel exchange then hotel amenities

I thought a property near an amusement park would be clean and family-friendly. Wrong! This property lacked the basics. The two persons at the desk had trouble figuring out how to use the hotel technology for check-in. They had no paper sleeves in which to insert the room key card so used a 3 x 5 card. Didn't tell me where the room was or where to park. Room key didn't open the broken side door. Returned to the main entrance and found where my room was. Hallway was filthy and littered with trash. Was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the room appeared. Went to sleep and was awakened 10 minutes later when a large spider crawled down my arm I brushed it off and it ran under the refrigerator. I was tired and moved to the other side of the bed and went back to sleep. Woke up to get ready to get back on the road. The shower had ample temperature and pressure, but ran along the bathroom wall and floor where there were tiles missing. That's going to be an issue for them. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Then I noticed there was a bath mat and a bath towel, but no face towel or washcloth. I went to the sink to brush my teeth and shave and there was no cold water, so I did without instead of risking second degree burns. Sitting on the toilet, a beetle ran across the floor and tried crawling under my feet, to which I had to dance a seated quick step until it ran away. I've stayed at budget motels before but very disappointed in this property.
